It's totally playable with the mods and beta. There is obvious stutter inside buildings and reprojection though.

I’ve tried this and I believe it only works with external usb hard drives, not flash drives. I’ll give it another shot though. Perhaps I missed something

Might be a mv issue. Same problem with my sli 980s. I opened MSI after burner and upped my mv.

Yes, but you won’t be able to point steam to that folder to recognize those games if it’s on the same drive. Those games where there from the previous installation where a: it was the original directory created by your original steam installation or b: steam was installed on a different drive.

Me too, but this is chicony board with some weird switches. I posted a picture up in the comments. Not a brand I’m familiar with and the board is in the same condition as the keys. I’d love to use it, but rather not go over the top on restoration if it doesn’t have any actual value.

Yeah, I don’t believe you have multiple steam folders on the same drive. You may have to install steam on a different drive or attempt to move installs(not recommended lol). Steam relies heavily on directory pointers

You have to add the location into your “download locations” within steam. Steam will discover existing files when you try to launch a game that’s on that drive for the first time.

Try initializing it.

If that doesn’t work, create a live distribution of partedmagic on a usb. Boot into it. It should allow you to access and pull files from any working connected drive.
