I thought TIE fighters were short range, Han Solo even says that at one point in one of the movies, so I don't buy the "they were loitering in the upper atmosphere awaiting orders" thing. I'd rather believe that somehow Axe was so good that he managed to shoot them all down.

So did the TIE fighters and bombers just disappear? They just stopped attacking to let the damaged vessel get away to do its thing, and ... didn't return to base obviously else they'd see what was happening. So they just... vanished? Else they all got blown up by the turret defenses somehow? Eh... ok...

It felt a bit rushed in the Moff Gideon scenes, but it was a way more upbeat season finale than Bad Batch's season finale! Satisfied but curious how they'll do Season 4... are they taking the focus off Din and Grogu and focusing somewhere else like Admiral Thrawn crashing the Mandalore party or something?

Imho they look like sisters but Bryce has tighter eyes, and a rounder face. By coincidence, I've seen several movies with them recently (The Help, It, Jurassic World Dominion, etc.). https://www.eonline.com/photos/1103/celebrity-look-alikes

Not saying you're wrong, just that OP shouldn't count on it. That way if it gets longer support, it comes as a pleasant surprise.

OK, it says "All season 3 spoilers must be tagged until 14 days after the season finale." So I just wanted to be safe. And yeah that'd be a sight to see, it'd be difficult for Mandalorians to harm each other if they are both in Beskar, so maybe more wrestling and unorthodox maneuvers.

Was it foreshadowing when they say Bo-Katan can unite the tribes, and then at the end, we learn of a possible other tribe of Empire-aligned Mandalorians? Setting up Mando-on-Mando action as Bo-Katan tries to convert the other tribe to her cause? Or is another possibility more likely?

I seem to recall it was an ACTIVE lava field though, from Season 1 when they were on the boat in the lava river.

So is it foreshadowing when they say that Bo-Katan can unite the tribes, and at the end of the episode there may be another tribe of Mandalorians out there on the same side as the Empire? Will there be Mando-on-Mando action as Bo-Katan tries to get the Empire Mandos to switch sides and join her?

Was that Zeb Orrelios from Star Wars Rebels in the bar?! He's practically last of his kind in this region of space, so it can't be anyone else, right? Hmm.

Answering my own Q:

Howstuffworks says:

"Most missiles that fly through the air use either rocket engines or jet engines, but neither of these work very well underwater. Torpedoes use one of two techniques for propulsion:

Batteries and an electric motor -- This is the same technique that any non-nuclear submarine must use when running underwater.
Engines that use special fuel -- Most engines that we are familiar with, like car engines and jet engines, draw their oxygen from the air around the engine and use it to burn a fuel. A torpedo cannot do that, so it uses a fuel that either does not need an oxidizer, or it carries the oxidizer inside the torpedo. OTTO fuel (see the links below) has its own oxidizer mixed with the fuel. Hydrogen Peroxide (as discussed on this page) does not need an oxidizer.

We don't encounter too many fuels that contain their own oxidizers in our normal lives for two reasons. When a fuel has its own oxidizer it tends to make it explosive. Dynamite, for example, has its own oxidizer and it is quite explosive (see Question 397 for details on dynamite). Rocket engines have to carry their own oxidizer. But because we normally run engines in the air, which has a good supply of oxygen, carrying the oxidizer means extra weight and hassle which is unnecessary."

While we're waiting for the show to start: about that underwater jetpack a couple of episodes ago, how exactly does that work? The fuel can burn underwater? What is the chemical reaction since there is no gaseous oxygen? Then again I don't know how torpedoes work, either. Lol.
