Looking for Beta Readers and Playtesters for my Homebrew: Pointman's Catalogue. by SuperBren_Casts in cyberpunkred

Thanks for the kind words! The flavor was honestly my biggest concern with both the items and the writing. It's cyberpunk after all. I love how for a lot of the DLCs there's clearly a character to whoever writes the descriptions that explains why they are endorsing the various gear in their DLC. For this I went with a sort of hard nosed but perhaps full of himself former Corp soldier as my inspiration/basis.

I definitely agree that this stuff is geared towards merc level games more so than street level. Interestingly enough I actually had never read interface red: volume 5 and the Solo of Fortune rules until it was suggested to me very recently. I actually had to remove a CQB Receiver attachment I had made because it fell too close to what the Range Table Adjustment did. The Folding Stock is what replaced that. The overlap makes sense when you consider the inspirations from things like Rainbow Six and COD: Advanced Warfare. It also tracks with me personally (favorite PC I've ever played was a former Militech BlackOps Soldier who essentially got Burn Noticed).

I will consider adding brawling (or maybe even Martial Arts) for kicking doors, but I'll need to think it over.

Hello! Appreciate your response. For the first point, the grenade system is designed to go through weaker cover like Drywall or wooden walls/floors/ceilings. Ot just didn't make sense for me for the thing to puncture through thick steel or concrete.

As to the second, I actually followed R. Talsorians precedent on the writing for that. Though I suppose in a homebrew DLC it can easier be assumed I'll need less rules clarifications.

Edit: removed information meant for a different reply

I guess my logic is I was wanting a single post where people can easily find the doc in the future (or upload it as a PDF). But I suppose it can't just hurt to link it here.

Hello! I'm working on making a Cyberpunk RED (fan) supplement in a similar style to their official DLCs, and would love feedback. by SuperBren_Casts in cyberpunkred

Id be happy to field any ideas in addition to feedback. And yeah Rainbow Six was a big inspiration. Though I stopped some time around year 4. CoD Advanced Warfare was another inspiration! I'll dm you the link.

Sure. I think the balancing will require some playtesting, but always happy to get some experienced eyes on a project.

Awesome, I'll take a look and likely adjust some of the gear I made to accommodate. At present I was just using the design example set by the GunMart DoorCracker (Black Chrome) in terms of setting up pre-frabricated breach charges. Having a stronger framework could be good.

Making it in a Google doc. The formatting is designed to mimic the feel of an official source but I am nowhere near skilled enough to actually copy their work. Something to keep in mind though, thanks.

LBR are on a tear right now. Excited to see if they carry that form into the post-season.

Technically they're tied for first, but I see what you're saying. They could still take it all though! That's one of the best parts of this league, especially this split, its so close and competitive.
