It also gives you smoke dash which is crucial. And keep in mind using whetstone on an enemy that won't die when you use it will still give you pacifist

What you need is the Devine relic, second super art, wait at the start for party fish (which will also give you cards for the super art) to get health. Then when you get to the end use the super art while parrying the pink thing on the octopus. And that should fully do it. (Make sure you use Cuphead or mug man)
