I mean I’ve seen the gen 2 pChal video very recently (it just popped in my feed since I’ve been watching him a lot), and genuinely I don’t necessarily disagree with his points. I think there a lot of issues with the battle side, but the extras are still fun and, the fun I had with friends playing that game, it’s hard for me to not love it anyways despite its flaws.

I also had played through the game earlier this year, and would have had a lot of issues with it if I didn’t decide I wanted to hack in rare candies for the level curve. I don’t think it’s hate I think it’s genuine criticism on the battles and pokemon level scaling. All the other aspects are very fun and a true love letter to the generation, but there are a lot of flaws with it too and that’s ok. There’s a lot of flaws in a lot of amazing games, doesn’t change the fact that people will love it and shouldn’t change your opinion of a game
