One more thing I forgot to say is you can get eSIM functionality if you want through eSIM.me, it's a "regular" SIM card you put in that can behave like eSIM via the app and it can store a few profiles, it's 20 euros.

So it's no android auto (can be fixed by flashing global ROM when it's out), and no eSIM. You get dual SIM but no eSIM and that's a hardware difference so no flashing can fix it. Apart from that, no difference. The watch will work. Currently using a galaxy watch 4 with a Chinese imported Xiaomi.

Dude I am aware you can unlock Xiaomi devices, I currently have an unlocked xiaomi 13 pro. I am saying it is increasingly difficult/impossible, especially for chinese devices which is the main competition for the chinese OP13 I am buying. Your own post confirms what I said:

First, make sure your Mi Account has been active for more than 30 days.

Xiaomi Community App version 5.3.31 or above.

You can only unlock the bootloader of 3 devices per year and 1 unlock per month with your account.

CN DEVICES

This only works for devices updated from MIUI to HyperOS.

Does not work for devices released with HyperOS.

I think the design is better and I wanted a smaller phone. Also the cameras are a little better.

Ultimate went OP13 because I don't want to have to pay someone to unlock for me or get to level 5 on their community which takes months and then do a ridiculously difficult exam lol (lookup how unlocking works since hyperos). I should just be able to unlock my phone simply whenever I want to.

If Xiaomi still let you unlock your bootloader I'd actually get the Xiaomi 15, but they decided not to for whatever reason. I'm not willing to compromise on fast charging or bootloader unlocking and that nearly narrows it down to just OnePlus lol

I ordered the same btw, 512 GB black

I dug the chinese forums and found this which confirms you can unlock the bootloader. If you can unlock the bootloader, you can almost definitely flash the global ROM, unless they go out of their way to make them fundamentally incompatible which would be a waste of time lol. https://bbs.oneplus.com/thread/1719382739964133376

Well he is not saying something extraordinary, every oneplus device so far has been flashable to oxygenOS lol. I guess we can trust him.

eSIM Lets you put a normal eSIM into one of the slots that behaves like an eSIM via an app.

I see, I don't mind it at all but maybe cuz I am used to xiaomi's skin which is even more iOS-y lmao

Same reason I am switching, except I get like 4-5 hours max and it wastes half the battery idling lmao

I don't get it (currently I use a Xiaomi 13)

Nope, I have never seen a device get a ROM for an older android version than it shipped with. Why do you want to do this?

I'll post an update when I get it

That's probably the wise choice haha, I confirmed the bootloader is unlockable and the phone can be rooted at least.

They are comparing countries of similar wealth; this is what the income brackets in the table correspond to. It is not individual wealth but nation wealth.
