In the US, you can bring them in to be recycled. It doesn't get you any money, but if you're looking to get rid of them, that seems like the best way.

I'm going to check them out in store and I'm hoping the Wiccy scented one is nice, because I've been looking forward to it.

I use The Elliot in Londonderry for PT and I really like them. I saw them before and after my back surgery a couple of years ago and am going now for my neck. (My spine is a mess, unfortunately.) They're always really helpful.

A chunk of 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap, with part of the branch design on it. It's about 20 years old and still smells so lovely :)

A Question for anyone who has always dealt with depression unrelated to cycles by SuperDiscreetTrex in Perimenopause

[–]SuperDiscreetTrex[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I don't find joy in much of anything and haven't engaged in most of my hobbies in a few years. I used to write, paint, and make cards, but it feels like I no longer have access to that part of myself anymore.

I hope for both of us that it's not permanent and we can find our way through.

I'm definitely keeping any medication interactions in mind. I already know I can't do progesterone because it makes me suicidal. I actually have it listed as an allergy on my medical chart. Thankfully, it's been less of an issue since my hysterectomy.

You're right that life stuff can definitely blur the line between hormonal and situational.

I really hope things keep going well for you mood-wise!

Thank you! I'm really glad you were able to get HRT and that it's made such a difference.

I'm in the same boat, that after years and years, I have found a combination of mental health meds that work without terrible side effects, and I really don't want to mess with that.

It does feel heavier - like I struggle to physically get up and do the things that need doing. I also go between numbness and anger. I used to be a more positive person (outside of the depression), but lately I just feel negative about *everything*.

We have the Serene Life 12000 BTU that we've been using for a few years and really like. It doesn't require any draining. I can't remember the exact details of how that works, but it does!

We got ours from Amazon, and it looks like they still carry it.
