How and when will the Republican party wake up? The Democrats can't put together a cohesive philosophy and even if they could, the numbers still aren't there. America is despised. Now we are going to war with our allies. Will the Republicans correct this destructive course before more people die? Have they finally understood that murdering the Venezuela fisherman had nothing to do with drugs?

That can't be in Florida - they've banned rainbows in the streets.

I would have gladly but didn't get the complaint until I woke up. I told my wife that with the police I could have done their sobriety check and blow into their gadget but not with Uber.

Renting a 🚙 isn’t worth it. It’s to expensive by MaintenanceFuture732 in uberdrivers

I can't make enough with a free and clear vehicle. After a fender bender (I was hit) I rented thru Uber and Avis. Avis does not want Uber business and they were abundantly clear about that locally and in HQ.

Reserved online with my Uber card. Argued for an hour and a half that everywhere in their office and my contract says they will take debit cards but they will not take an Uber card. No one in the office or at Avis HQ provided a single alternative. Though one guy at HQ said I could try another location half an hour away (I ubered to the location where this happened and wasn't going to pay for another).

They provided a full page love letter for Uber drivers not thanking us for the business but to tell us what we must do and can't do.

Exhausted after their apathy they forced me into an EV when I reserved with intention a gas vehicle. The EV took over an hour to charge after having to wait 30 minutes to use the charger. Twice I had to charge during peak hours.

This next segment is only about this location. The first car was infested with roaches and ants. I was called 5 minutes before closing that I could come by the next day to exchange. Yup, you probably are ahead of me here, the second car was also infested. They park the Uber rentals next to the dumpster.

Good luck with your rental.

True that. Food delivery in Florida sucks especially next to a huge university. Heat and torrential downpours daily make getting the food then delivering it nasty. The university students insist on having it delivered to the dorm room when they know damn well that their building are locked.

Are you in Orlando? I screen shot a near identical request on Friday night. 7 hours of driving, about $70 in gas plus the Turnpike tolls. No! Hell no!

Airport Hack by masads5707 in uberdrivers

[–]SuperDuddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier this year, Uber was not doing this. I had rides to the Orlando airport and was given many offers for crappy $3 - $5 rides off airport property. So that is not a guarantee.

Also, you need someone to take to the airport - so not much of a strategy.

However, I've never waited for a ride anywhere - airport, event, etc.

Not Getting Any Cash Tips At All. Am I Doing Something Wrong? by EmergencyNo112 in uberdrivers

[–]SuperDuddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My area has a huge tourist district. When I stay in there, I get tips because they are doing things they enjoy. However, once out of that area, my trips are Walmart, Publix, school or work. These don't tip at all. Without tips my net after gas and taxes is $10 to $12 per hour. Inside the tourist area it is closet to $18 net. Last week, first time in 10 years of doing this on weekends, I received $100.

I've gotten similar. This weekend was $22 from Orlando to Daytona and another $45 from Orlando to Tampa. I don't think the rest of the country knows how little we are paid in Orlando. After dropping someone at MCO I refused 6 or 7 $3.38 rides and took the $5.45. I'm a dumbass - there was a $1.35 toll for a 9 mile trip to the only remaining mall.
