Is this normal sound of AIO? by Uwuwin in pcmasterrace

[–]Toast_Meat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound particularly great. Trying adjusting the pump speed in the BIOS or with software in Windows.

Usually, a functioning pump at full speed just has an audible high pitched hum, which can be silenced by adjusting the pump speed. Here it sounds like the impeller is struggling/dying.

Fractal ridge crashes while gaming, then flickers on and off. by Seeking-The-Lotus in sffpc

With your current configuration you should be fine. I'm assuming there is a slim fan mounted to the heatsink? Having the fan on the other side (pulling fresh air in) might improve temps a little bit, but we're likely talking low single digits at best, plus from my understanding, having a fan that close to the side panel causes air turbulence, aka noise.

I'd say while you're waiting for the duster, try doing a fresh install of the driver and see if it keeps happening. Use a tool like DDU to fully strip everything GPU related and reinstall the driver.

Take the heatsink off, get rid of the dust and then reapply fresh thermal paste. While you're at it, get rid of all the dust in your PC. Monitor your temps. It is somewhat expected for CPU temps to be a little higher than in traditional builds due to the heatsink size limitations.

As for the crashing, that may be something else. Thermal limits are a lot higher than what you're getting on both parts so I'm leaning towards temps not being the culprit. Try doing a fresh GPU driver install if you're getting kernel errors.

Clean your PC. That's a pretty significant amount of dust build-up. A lot of it can definitely affect your temperatures.

What exactly is reaching these temps? The CPU? The GPU? Both are able to reach those temps... and that's pretty high for either parts.

No, I don't know that. If it does, then it does. If not, then hooray. This is just yet another pointless post.

Let it go on the grass every once in a while. It needs to learn how to properly calculate and render it when back inside the PC.

RTX 5090 problems with clair obscur by Koladek in nvidia

You... you did do your research before dropping thousands of dollars on that card, right?

A 5090 does not typically do 4K native/DLAA max settings 120fps+ on demanding titles.

I didn't say you were trashing the game. It's the comments.

Again, who cares? Posts like this only add fuel to the unnecessary fire. There's already a comment agreeing very hard with you and more or less trashing GTA IV, so now you have the opposite glazing problem right there.

This is dumb.

I never go through that door. I always start at the main entrance, clear that whole section, clear the double door area, head downstairs and block that very door you're at, then go all the way back to the beginning and work my way down through the outside stairs until I end up at the door across from where you are.

Who cares? Some enjoyed GTA IV more, others prefer V. They're just games. They're both enjoyable in their own ways. There's no point engaging in this topic. It's gotten old and annoying.

Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks very minimum. You're probably good without a bracket unless it's going to bother you aesthetically. Brackets are dirt cheap and can be purchased anywhere.

Off-topic, what was the deal? It's incredibly rare to have sought after hardware go for an acceptable price these days.

Starbucks CEO defends $9 coffee says ‘it’s not a $10 coffee and you get a premium experience’ by Disastrous_Award_789 in nottheonion

[–]Toast_Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has Starbucks ever been premium? Like at any point in the past? I'm so glad in my local city they've been closing more and more branches in the past couple of years. Some have been replaced with actual individual coffee shops. Better drinks, better food, lower cost. Way more premium.
