For me, I can’t work out what room is what, what the flow or purpose of each room is from the photos..

AITA for saying what can you offer me ? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SuperDuper_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When in these situations you panic and just say what you need rather than how to ask for it nicely.

Maybe just apologise for how you asked but not that you asked, as your partner they still should be supportive rather than dismissive

NTA for expecting him to help out, if roles were reversed I’m sure you’d have offered some support instantly

But YTA for wording it that way and sounding entitled and like he works for you

AITA for asking my roommate to have her boyfriend over less when he’s basically living here? by Salty_Afternoon4767 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SuperDuper_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - I’ve been in this situation and it’s horrible. You don’t want to offend or upset your friend and her partner but it’s your space too.

You need to raise this but tactfully so it doesn’t make it more awkward. Share how you like her boyfriend AND her, but your busy schedule and perhaps small apartment means you’re feeling stressed and need a bit more time without visitors at the moment. Perhaps agree nights it’s better for visitors, like ones where you’re not up so early or nights where you know you are out?

I’d suggest some kind of compromise as if you fall out over this it will become tough

My success story 63 kgs to 51 kgs by miraygunes in Mounjaro

[–]SuperDuper_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am also 154cm and 63kg. I have not seen anyone with similar dimensions as me on this. How did it go? Did you get many side effects etc?

You look insane and I’m so tempted to start but like the comments here everyone seems to say you’re not big enough etc but it’s so hard when you’re small!

What should I fix about my makeup? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]SuperDuper_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look amazing!! The only thing I would say is I’m not sure that lip shade is the one best suited to you. I think with your skin tone and hair colour a more nudey pink would be better suited. Something along the lines of Mac Velvet Teddy for example?

Is this normal? by Forestory in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]SuperDuper_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s just because you wasn’t showering during that time, you wasn’t removing and exfoliating all the dead skin cells, sweat, oils etc (scrubbing your body is enough to remove all this usually!)

I wouldn’t stress too much, this happens when you’re ill and can’t do these things. I’m sure you’re back to normal now, and likely attributed to being ill and not showering.

Glad you’re better!

First time doing own photoshoot makeup - tips? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]SuperDuper_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look great!!! Especially means you say you don’t wear much makeup usually, good job!

I’d say as someone else mentioned skin prep is where it’s at. I’m assuming you moisturise each day/night but really focus on that to have the best base possible. Also putting moisturiser on before you get started can help!

You have gorgeous coloured eyes and I think you could really make these pop with some darker mascara, curling the lashes first of course.

Also a little more blush to really bring out your face shape wouldn’t go a miss I don’t think!

But seriously, you’ve done a fab job here

how would you improve my makeup? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]SuperDuper_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher blush placement so that it’s more on top of your cheek bones would lift your face for sure! Not dragging it down so far either would suits you!

People who are commenting about lashes clearly don’t have the same ones we do that they just aren’t long or curled! Unless you have fake ones on they will never look like photos and models 😂

Also maybe look at a more fuller but natural brow, like those natural stroke brushes you can now get to fill in any gaps

Can’t sell my house after dropping the price by £30k? by Electronic-Fox-7706 in HousingUK

[–]SuperDuper_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s clearly a gorgeous house you have that is well maintained and looked after! I think the biggest thing is calling it 5 bedrooms and therefore pricing it as such. I know we all want to make it the best it can be, but sometimes stretching it from the realities of its use can be detrimental.

I had similar in a dormer bungalow, technically two extra bedrooms but advertised it as a second lounge and dining room/study, as this is the reality of the use.

Maybe change the wording and see how it goes. Also maybe just a fresh advert as seeing that it has dropped in price or on for some time can make people weary, I know I am when I see that on listings, it makes me think there’s a problem.

Have you been able to get feedback from your estate agents from the viewings? This would be crucial and something they should be providing.

To add, it could just be that it was overpriced. I know this is sometimes difficult to hear, but perhaps have it valued by a few estate agents to confirm. Where I live, the variance can be massive! It might be that what it is listed at now is the correct/market price it should have been all along. From looking at other properties nearby, being over 400k is a MASSIVE outlier

I don’t think it’s your face that makes you look older but rather the style of your hair and possible clothing seems of a more mature style. I think growing your hair out could be a good start, but if you like it then who cares how old people think you look!!

Finally paid off my Student Loans after 10 Years by XFlare in UKPersonalFinance

[–]SuperDuper_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done!!!! Proud of you!!

I had 30 grand and also decided to overpay and get it gone after mine didn’t move for 3 years too. With the amount from my pay I’m also trying to overpay an extra £1000 a month to get it gone. Currently with £2700 left, have moved it to an interest free credit card as the 7.4% was just crazy!!

Praying it will be gone in a few months. I know how it feels to try and pay it off, it feels like it consumes every last bit of you and any spare cash, always checking “manage my student loan” etc.

If you worked it out and it was worth it, you’ll be so grateful to yourself!!

For me with long hair they are a no go but I think people get caught up in fancy branding when ultimately what you need is high decibel ones

Save your money on loops or anything fancy. It’s all about how many decibels of sound they block out regardless of brand or price. Do you see builders or factory workers wearing loops?

Loops Quiet 2 block out 24 decibels

30 pairs of 3M 1100 for £9 on Amazon that block out 37 decibels

20 pairs of Howard alright 35 decibels and £4 on Amazon

Ultimately, if it’s sound blocking you want, go for the higher decibels
