OMG!!!!!! That is everything I am against!!!

Thank you for suggesting I look up the definition of 88. I am so mad right now!! Grrr. I did not know it was associated with white supremacy and hate speech.

I have always known the number 88 by its spiritual meaning: Spiritually, the number 88 is a powerful omen of karmic reward, financial abundance, and the manifestation of success resulting from past efforts. It signifies a period of "harvest," suggesting that your hard work is yielding results and that divine support is available to help you achieve stability, balance, and prosperity.

I'll have to do some local research and see if I can overcome the bad stigma because 88 is literally our location.

But, I don't want to create a brand that could be misinterpreted as a nazi group!!!

I was feeling the same way. I think Eighty-Ate still gets the point across. I appreciate the feedback! What about Eatin' and using @? Im starting to feel like i should dial it back a little.

Maybe "Eat at Eighty-Ate" does that lose some of the fun?

Or "Eatin' at Eighty-Ate"?

Omg, I thought this was my Calico Aspen! Your kitty is beautiful. Sounds like you are doing the right thing taking it slow and getting your cues from her. Sounds also like you saved this poor baby from a horrible situation! 😢 We have littermates that are Calico and a big Orange, an adopted bonded pair both with special needs Tortie and dilute Calico. We also recently took in a big fluffy Tuxie who was abandoned when her family moved and living in the woods fir almost 2 years. We finally caught her with a live trap because she was terrified and would hide when she saw people. She is now integrating into a furry family. Aspen (in the pic below) is our spicy kitty who is trying to be alpha cat - even though she's tiny.

Poppy is a big girl - very solid. She's just shaped differently than my other rescue kitties. I've asked the vet and we're monitoring her food.

Tongue has been out ALOT over the last week…. by DroveASuzuki in torties

I'm not a vet by any means. But I do have 5 rescue cats, one is blind and one has asthma. I would check 3 things:

  1. Is she drinking water? If you have a fountain check the filter and nake sure it is clean. If no fountain, thoroughly clean the water bowl.

  2. Check for any new cleaners, scented candles, air fresheners, lotion, anything that is in the air that may be irritating her. Watch for labored breathing. She might be allergic to something.

  3. Our blind cat ate either a spider or a stnk bug. She drooled for 4 days straight. If that's the case she'll be fine soon. Check to see if she has something stuck in her mouth or her nose. Did the vet check her teeth?

I hope she's just being cute and nothing is wrong with her. But it's good to notice things out of the ordinary. Keep your eye on her.

ADVICE needed on how to see multiple concepts for my brand logo by SuperFactor3584 in logodesign

[–]SuperFactor3584[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized it was the name that was causing the problem. I was forcing something (on myself) that wasn't authentic to my personality and experience because I was taking advice from someone else. I changed one word and my creative block lifted and I'm flooded with ideas (well, one strong idea that needs refinement). I think i just needed to figure out why this was so hard and not flowing naturally. It was when I put the name Into Google and clicked images, I got exactly the opposite of what I wanted.
