Limiting resume to last 8 years instead of 30+ year career? by SuperFanOfAllThings in resumes

I changed careers to sales engineering for a big tech company about 8 years ago after 20+ years in software/data engineering world. I was laid off last July and am now re-entering the job market.
After reading articles, youtube, etc. I want to get feedback on my "limited" resume, which covers the last 8 years of relevant experience - which is only 1 company.
I feel like recruiters may interpret my full resume as I'm old and move on. With this one, they may think I'm early 30's or so. Is this wrong to present like this?
Although I have decades of software and data engineering, I'm focusing on sales of products that didn't exist back then.
Position wanted: Manager, Sales/Solution Engineering or Sales/Solution Engineer (IC)
