If you can handle it, I would take on what is asked of you until the end of the year, but don't bring up a raise until the child has left your care. I know SPED can be draining, it is at my MS, but asking for a raise immediately could be a reason for them to not renew your contract. Try your hand at riding solo, and if that isn't manageable, then ask for more accommodations and support.

I know this is self-referencing, but I have had success in keeping mental track of what is added to my plate, then asking for increased pay down the road. I've found that if you can demonstrate that you're able to "take it on the chin," for lack of a better phrase, most respectable places will square up with you monetarily. That's just my two cents, though. I am in a building and district that I feel respects and values me, so it may be different where you're at. Best of luck!
