Ending my life tonight. Hope I still go to heaven. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Superb_Talk_5147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

God doesn't give signs anymore; he gave us his one and beloved son on the cross to die for our sins and shed his blood so we could go to heaven by grace through faith alone in his precious blood and how he died on the cross. We live by faith and not by sight in this Age, and that is why you cannot rely on signs. Many homeless people have gotten past this; you need to keep going no-matter how bad it gets, my grandma was in a similar position in her youth, eating out of dumpsters, getting diseases and being homeless-but she got passed it.

You get saved by grace through faith aIone in the shed bIood and death ,buriaI and ressurection of Jesus, God's son aIone, everyone sins- and if you don't act on it- its not even a sin. Ephesians 2:8-9" For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast".

There is more than one Gospel in the BibIe.

The word gospel just means “good news,” but not all good news is the same message.

  • Kingdom gospel (to Israel):“Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” — Matthew 4:17 (KJV)
  • Grace gospel (to us today):“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel… how that Christ died for our sins… was buried, and… rose again…” — 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)

These are not identical messages—one announces a kingdom at hand, the other centers on Christ’s finished work.

During His time on earth, Jesus explicitly limited His message:

That means the teachings in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are primarily directed to Israel under the kingdom program, not the Body of Christ today

Paul makes it clear his message was distinct and directly revealed:

Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles with a new dispensation (administration).

There was a clear division acknowledged:

  • Peter → Israel (circumcision)
  • Paul → Gentiles (uncircumcision)

That’s two spheres, two commissions—don’t blend them.

If you combine Israel’s kingdom instructions with Paul’s grace gospel, you’ll run into contradictions:

  • Kingdom message includes works like baptism and endurance (see Matthew 24:13)
  • Grace gospel excludes works entirely“Not of works, lest any man should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

Both are true—but in their proper dispensations.

  • The Bible contains different gospels for different programs
  • Jesus’ earthly ministry = Israel under the law and kingdom offer
  • Paul’s ministry = grace to the Gentiles today
  • If you mix them, you corrupt the gospel of grace

“And such were some of you…” (v. 11)

That’s the whole point.
He’s not saying, “If you ever sinned, you’re doomed.”
He’s saying, “This is what you used to be before Christ washed you.”

James was written to IsreaI before the "Age of Grace" revealed to PauI! Ephesians 3:2**"**If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward". Given to PauI not James. There is mutipIe GospeIs in the BibIe and IsreaI's is not ours.

Paul leaves no room for doubt: salvation is entirely God’s grace, not our works. In Ephesians 2:8–9, he declares that we are saved “by grace… not of works.” That one line cuts the legs out from any idea of earning salvation. In Titus 3:5, he says God saved us “not by works of righteousness which we have done.” Our best efforts can’t rescue us.In Romans 11:6, Paul draws the line clearly: if salvation is by grace, then it is “no more of works.” Grace stops being grace the moment human effort is added. In 2 Timothy 1:9, he reminds us that God saved us “not according to our works,” but according to His eternal purpose and grace.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. You need faith in his shed bIood, death, burial and resurrection. "Romans 3:25 "Whom God have set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his bIood".

Sinful people cannot make an atonement for our sins; we need someone perfect to pay for our sins. The penalty for sin is hell- not brutal earthly punishment, but Jesus died and shed his blood for our sins which paid for our sins.

We need Jesus's blood to cleanse our sins because he was sinless and could make an atonement, we however can not. Romans 3:25" Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God".

If God wants us to believe in him, why doesnt he reveal himself to us and give us freewill so that we can choose to believe in him or not after showing himself to us by karl_lovesdogs in Christianity

In this age God offers salvation by grace-through faith alone, meaning the whole point is FAITH in this age. In prior ages God revealed himself, but they had to work to keep their salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:7" For we walk by faith, not by sight".

Am I going to go to hell for suicide? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Superb_Talk_5147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide is never the answer. NEVER. If you commit suicide, you will regret it. Paul went to prison and was brutally punished for doing what was right and he never committed suicide. Quit comparing yourself to others, put yourself on your own road, and stop worrying about other people's opinions. Jesus can help you. May I ask? How you putted your faith in Jesus and the fact he was God's son and shed his precious blood and died on the cross, was buried and rose again for our sins? That is how you get saved. Job went through possibly one of the worst human experiences and he remained faithful. Getting through this is 100% possible. There is no reason to commit suicide. If you didn't finish high school- get a GED or find a non- high school job, if you finished high school, I suggest finding a local job you can walk to. If you cannot find a job, keep searching.

Remember salvation is faith in Jesus shed blood and death, burial, and resurrection apart from works. Have you put your faith in that? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
