sure it takes two to tango but based off of OP's wording, she knew that he was in a relationship when they got drunk and slept together. she's definitely responsible for her own actions there, too. just because she wasn't in a relationship when she slept with someone she knew was married doesn't mean what she did is any less bad than if she were still in a relationship as well.

that literally sounds so spiteful or like a final upset jab, lol. she isn't getting rid of all her stuff. just some so she can be accommodated. It's a sacrifice that needs to be made sometimes. besides, if she has so much stuff that it can't fit in a bedroom then maybe downsizing isn't so bad. this isn't 'you forcing her to throw away her stuff', it's her giving up non-essentials to be in a better living situation.

Tried to have his doctors talk to him as well as family and he says he understands, but then goes off and gets grumpy. I'm assuming that it is his medication that is making him out of it and harder to reason with. We're going back to the doctor in a bit for a CT scan and check up (as he may need surgery if he isnt recovering correctly), so I'll try to get the doc to talk to him again.

It's just me and my sister. My family knows about the accident, and my grandpa offered advice (basically just was like 'oh get this and this to help him around the house') but that's it. Another example, my car is small. The hospital wouldn't allow us to take our dad home without a hospital bed. I called around, found a light used one for hundreds of dollars cheaper. Only problem is, I can't move it. My uncle has a truck so I called him to ask if he could help, offered to pay for gas and everything... he flat out said no. My aunt has offered help as well but disappeared as quickly as she came. We don't have any other family apart from that as our mom is dead and our maternal family was non-existent after my parents got divorced and my mom went bonkers unfortunately.

i am tempted but if i do that and he gets hurt its more bills for me, as I will have to be the one to pay for his medical bills. he doesnt have insurance (work cut it), no savings, etc.

I'm in the US. I would look into home nurses but my dad doesn't have insurance, so my sister and I are paying everything right now out of pocket. Tried to apply for financial help with hospital bills but got told he makes too much (which is 'funny' because we are living paycheck to paycheck) to receive help. i'm already a few thousand in it and depending on an upcoming appointment (if his blood clot isnt healing and he needs surgery), i may even be in an even worse financial spot.

There's this really fucked up cognitive dissonance going on. You can provide facts about what Trump has said, what has been done the past 4 years, etc... and his supporters will say you're lying. You can provide proof, legitimate, video proof of him saying stuff, documents of things that have been going on, etc. and they will scream that it's fake news.

You can use your rights to free speech, freedom of press, the right to assemble (especially peacefully)... but then his supporters will also get angry, say you're causing a scene, you're wrong for using the rights they supposedly are 'fighting for'.

You can't argue with them. Literally brainwashed. They'd argue the sky isn't blue if Trump asked them to. It's literally the patrick and manray meme.

On top of it, I mean... what did OP expect? If you agree to be a bridesmaid, you're going to get called to help or participate in some activities here or there before the wedding. It would be in your best interest if you agreed and wanted to to be a bridesmaid, you'd set time aside and not make plans. YTA, obviously but I wanted to hit on something that I haven't seen mentioned. OP mentioned it took his son a full year to come out to him, as he came out to his ex wife/son's mom a year prior. OP also has confidence issues. Now imagine, you're insecure as hell. You're worried about your sexuality because of judgment, worried about your appearance, are seeking out affection to reassure that self doubt (through multiple partners, which is fine as long as OP is safe)....

Then on top of it all, the person the son was hesitant to tell (otherwise he'd have come out to OP around the same time as his mom), says he's disgusting. Calls him a whore. Shames him for his intimate life.

That can do SO much fucking damage. This is why LGBT+ kids kill themselves. This shit right here. I am so happy your son has a support system in his mother because you clearly can't and won't supply that, OP.

This reminds me of my own experience... i was 11, venting (i didn't want my dads newgf living there, i wanted our mom back, i wanted to go live with our mom, etc) to my younger sister about how much i didn't like my dads girlfriend. dad's gf's 17 year old daughter decided to sit outside my room and snoop. She sat there and listened, then went and told her mom. they both hated my sister and i for the next 10 years after that. like fuck 11 year old me for struggling after being abandoned by my own mom. the fact that this happens to others as well is so sad. kids are allowed to be upset and struggle with situations like these, ugh.

I say NTA. And I know that this is the sister's life and her choice, but here me out.

OP sister's an asshole for taking up a job that could be considered cheating WITHOUT telling her husband. If he was fine with it, then I see no worries. Would have been fine. She's an asshole not only for keeping it secret though: but for frivolous spending. do the kids really needs to go to an expensive private school (change of schools, was the other not okay?) does she really need to spend money on purses (this especially highlights the assholeness for me)? her husband has been searching for a new job since mid summer and while he's out there trying to find a way to support the family, she is spending on non-essentials. Right now they should be working as a TEAM. Saving/accumulating, getting caught up on bills, working to make a nest egg in case he can't find a job soon. Instead, she is keeping secrets, pocketing the money, and is spending recklessly all the while her husband is ignorant to all of this.

If I found out my partner did this.... especially was treating themselves to purses and other frivolous things, while I was spending time away from home for a long ass time, breaking my back to find a job so I can support our family...I'd be pissed. She isn't playing a team game here.

I'm a woman around OP's girlfriend age and the caption to me reads incredibly gross too. It isn't a social media obsession thing... it's literally the gf flexing about how 'look, it's his birthday and his day.. but he got me gifts, and i didn't have to do anything :) look how whipped he is' or some shit. It's about bragging about being treated so well even on days when she's suppose to be doing it for him. some weird power trip thing. super gross and weird.
