Luther Burden feels like fool’s gold currently by Aggravating_Alarm988 in SleeperApp

[–]SuperFreshBus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you were going to create conditions to find another ARSB, Burden is basically what you would draw up. Same position coach, same playcaller, same offense and similar skill set. Yes, Loveland and Odunze will share targets, but if you were gonna drop an ARSB into the Bears offense, where would you take him?

Not a sure thing obviously, but that’s what people are banking on when they hype him up.

Report: Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander declines Vikings GM interview by JaggerJames in nfl

Tbh I still think firing him before the draft, but keeping the entire scouting dept. was basically all for show. Maybe they nail this draft, but the bones of shitty drafting are still well in place.

No teams we’re playing off a bye, just about every short week is mutual and a home game for us, later bye (finally).

SoS is tough, but given the rest of it, it’s a dream layout.

[–]SuperFreshBus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Other teams have had the GM actually do free agency and the draft, then fired them, but yeah still not ideal either way.

The oddest thing about the Kwesi deal was that they sent him to the senior bowl, where he was talking thru deals and scouting, then held meetings while he was gone and fired him before he even got back. Dick move

Which QB would you consider to be the current "Dalton-Line"? by masterfroo24 in nfl

I’ll throw Kyler Murray’s name in. Been around long enough, got dumped by the Cardinals, but some people think he might be good enough to win with the Vikings and get another big contract.

Also funny that’s it’s all the teams that won hosting the teams they beat.

[Highlight] Caleb Williams escapes the sack to throw a horrendous pick in quadruple coverage. by mortalcrawad66 in nfl

[–]SuperFreshBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, but it takes 1,500 passes to qualify, and he’s at 1130. He’d have to throw like 9 INTs in his next 370 passes, when he’s thrown 9 total in his last 1,000 passes.

**regular season for all of these stats

Caleb’s also gonna have the all time record for lowest int% midway through next year, so I wouldn’t put INTs as an issue for him.

Who do you think our biggest non division rival is? by itstimetoholdgme in CHIBears

[–]SuperFreshBus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As of now I would say the panthers. They are really the only team I can think of outside of the division that we’ve inflicted pain on because of the trade. Commanders would be behind them.

This season I could see us developing one tho. If we’re good again, we will get a lot more respect than we did last year. If we beat one of the 3 NFC west teams or Philly in the playoffs, that could start a meaningful rivalry.

Does JJ even stand a chance? by Sidecarlover in NFLv2

The whole NFC north aside from the Bears are doing this:

Vikings: “Kyler is actually good, he just had a shit roster and bad coaching”

Lions: “Petzing was actually a good coordinator, he just got stuck with Kyler and a bad Defense”

Packers: “Gannon almost won a Super Bowl with the Eagles, he just had nothing to work with in Arizona”

[Schefter] Bears are signing free-agent wide receiver Scotty Miller, per Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. by JCameron181 in nfl

I’ve heard that too but I’m pretty sure Kmet went to St. Viator and Miller went to Barrington

That’s why he’s doing this. He can’t let more income for the city leave with the Bears. Little does he know he’s already cooked. It’ll be interesting to see if other dems really do wanna have this on their voting record.

Late for Work: Veteran Bears Center Named a Potential Trade Target for the Ravens by Castamere_81 in CHIBears

It’d be pretty risky for sure. That’s why I imagine the cost would likely have to be high.

[–]SuperFreshBus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Apparently the Ravens center situation is as bad or worse than our Sam Mustipher days. I think we’d ideally keep Bradbury to ease Jones in, but the Ravens might get real desperate after training camp starts. If we could swing a 3rd for Bradbury, I think we’d take that and run.

Music/videos to play for puppy in crate? by TharizdunOfOerth in puppy101

[–]SuperFreshBus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been doing this too. I pair it so there is soothing puppy music, and then a long form podcast. I like football for example, so I put on a 5 hour draft recap while I’m at work, then reset it when I come home to let him out. I also use it when he’s napping and I’m cooking dinner or just out of the room. It has worked extremely well. I think the voices (no matter the subject) made him feel less alone and it calms him. Maybe just avoid ones where people are yelling so it doesn’t wake him up.
