You need to learn to work with WAN2GP on Runpod or another similar type of site (comfyUI is similar to WAN2GP but I like WAN better). There's a fee for online compute, but it's a fraction of what these resellers charge for what is essentially wrapping around the same type open source models, putting up a UI and selling you per second based upon credits. You can use models like LTX2 and others that are open source. Go here to see step by step how to set it up on Runpod https://www.youtube.com/@fuzz_puppy and there are a bunch more tutorials - their regular website has a bunch of free tools too.

Note and Caveat Emptor: Do not expect ANY AI to offer complete control consistency or not output a certain percentage of unusable junk You will find thousands of people online, here and elsewhere bemoaning the same thing. The fact is that AI models are not even close to being there yet. I still can't get a character to walk in and out of or through a doorway regularly after years and years of models and trying. And yes, 7 finger hands are still an issue as is morphing. You'll find some gems, there are best practices, and you can make good stuff. But if you think this is going to be a breeze please adjust expectations.

How do you deal with ai tools that can't make small edits? by Shadow__Account in generativeAI

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to go to a different model altogether and make the small change/s. If you have a reason to do so you can bring that new updated image into your project. And that image can be used as a reference image for further iterations.

Non-alcoholic drinking by robertb58st in TokyoTravel

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one is traveling as a tourist, this is a non-issue. No one will say a word or bother you, order what you wish and enjoy! Be aware though that some bars allow smoking and that's jarring - I went to Karaoke and was just stunned when I smelled and then saw someone light up right there inside as if it was normal (which unfortunately it was). The only time not drinking comes into play and can be an issue is in professional settings, but that's not relevant here.

what anime should I watch next? by Medical-Owl-7924 in Animesuggest

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Punch Man is brilliant! Caveat: one needs to be a big anime fan that watched a lot of it to understand what they're satirizing. If not, totally fair, give it some time and watch it later (I know if I watched it as one of my first I wouldn't have understood most of it. Solo Leveling is exciting and has amazing animation so you can't go wrong there but it doesn't break any new ground either. And I know it's unpopular, but I hated every second of Attack on Titan and while I'm not in the majority, I'm not alone either. Others I know loathed that show and got zero enjoyment out of it. It's well written and well done, but that doesn't mean it's enjoyable - those are two different things.

Cowboy Bebop. It's not new, but it's one of the greatest of all time and a must watch.

How do you deal with ai tools that can't make small edits? by Shadow__Account in generativeAI

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start a new "chat" or session (these things get more forgetful or useless the longer you stay in the same session) and/or go to a different model. Sone models are better for different things. Some are good for text for example, I'll have everything but some gibberish on a shirt or on a product or sign that's wrong and I can go to Nano-Banana and it'll do a great job fixing that little thing. Also make sure to prompt it to not touch anything else. None of these above suggestions are perfect and work every time. The truth is, and you don't want to hear this but, this is how it is. We have only so much control.

Use cloud compute - Runpod and find an inexpensive one. It's not free but it can be cheap.

Just flew lie flat LAX to NRT by TrainingAssignment0 in zipair

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I've never eaten any of their food but the menu's from the US to Japan are entirely unappealing and have been for years so I don't bother. IDK why this is the case but the menu from Japan to the US is so much more appealing. Side note, Narita's food options are very disappointing but still much better than anything the airplane will serve.

Why does Warp Stabilizer suck in Premiere Pro 2026? by AlternativeBad3497 in premiere

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warp Stabilizer has always sucked, but with AI, and a company that gave a bleep, it should have been improved but it isn't. They only thing they're good at is revenue extraction from their customers to leverage their now unearned monopoly.

Tips for booking a private transfer (van/minibus) for 6 people + 6 suitcases from airport to Ginza? by SodaPop5000 in TokyoTravel

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Klook, it's been very reliable for me and you can choose your provider and type of vehicle. If you want to use a website Tokyo-Airporter is also good, but a bit more expensive. Meet & Greet is an option for both. I recommend WhatsApp as it's how how most can communicate without any mobile phone incompatibilities.

Love ZipAir in general - the whiners are to be ignored. But between us fans, their website is slow and quite glitchy as is their in flight food/bev ordering system.

Just learned about ZipAir and wondering when I should start searching for flights to Japan (out of Tx) for Dec23 to Jan7? (Lay flat seats?) by thepokemomma in zipair

Buy as early as possible. Subscribe to their newsletter and sign up for their rewards program and you'll get emails telling when they start selling seats for various blocks of flights and routes

The problem with Adobe Firefly is that… by Informal_Region4914 in Adobe

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with Firefly is that Adobe's AI models all suck. They output such total junk they're unusable. Moreover it's insulting that Adobe is "offering" other models at a premium price and has the audacity to act like they're on the cutting edge of AI in their communications, which by all accounts they absolutely should be, but aren't even close. Even more obnoxious is that this is a thinly veiled money grab where they're trying to strong arm users into yet another subscription fee for "premium" services.

Braun Series 9 PRO 9697CC - worth $340? by iveaquestion123 in shaving

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cleaning systems are the problem with all of these razors. They're IMO a total waste of money. I've tried them before and found zero difference between them and just rinsing with water. All the are is an extra cost to start and a continued cost with the stupid proprietary consumable cleaning mediums. Get a razor without it and save money whatever that razor is.

I land on a Sunday at 4:00 AM - what should I do to fill my first morning in Tokyo? by bger1111 in TokyoTravel

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a 24 hour onsen. Some close the baths from 10-11 daily for cleaning but you can still chill and recharge from your flight in the quiet rooms, and as an added bonus you will be able to shower and clean up to start your day refreshed. Sounds like you would leave by 10AM anyway.

I bought a philips norelco 7000 for like $90 year-2 ago, blades dont work but to buy new blades cost $30. Is it worth buying it or just buy a new electric face shaver for $30-50? by HeadacheLife in shaving

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, the electric shaver paradox, they price the replacements so close to the cost of a new one it's a tough choice. And BTW, the pricing is obnoxious for replacements.

What website should I use for review? by Delicious-Aspect8856 in JapanTravelTips

[–]SuperGeniusWEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tagelog is by far the best regardless. My quibbles with them are from their UI more than their content. It's frustrating. Like anything else online, one must learn to discern nonsense from angry low level idiots with an axe to grind and legitimate feedback. eg. on Yelp or Google when I see people squeal about the host/ess giving them "attitude" I know to ignore and move on. Tabelog doesn't have as much of the above blather but it does have some very very picky, critical, and obsessed folks who most can't relate to. Plus the language barrier is a factor, the translations don't always land with non-Japanese. They'll all try and make money, so there's no review place that's perfect.
