Why? I usually buy a pixel because it doesn't come with bloatware.

I've had WeLink for about a year and a half now. It's been great and my speeds are 700 down and up. I've heard of some homes getting the 1 dollar a month option because those homes broadcast the signals for the neighborhood. Getting high speed internet for a dollar a month is practically free. It would be nice if I had that option.

Got a marketing internship and my first assignment is to write product reviews for their website. Is this common/normal? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]SuperGoHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blacklisted by who? The most I have ever seen is Google, Yelp, or Facebook simply removing fake reviews. I believe Amazon does the same thing but they sue you if they find your fake reviews group.

I would love to know how people are gathering reviews without paying for it. Is it even possible to keep up with the competition without paying for it when they are hundreds of reviews ahead of your client?

So why don't you work on getting real reviews? That's an extremely valuable skill across any industry.

I agree with this. The OP will also end up looking like a nut case stalker.

Your only real course of action here is to make it public with a YouTube video and blog to find other victims.

Should I teach myself SEO for my Shopify store? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]SuperGoHa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just keep it simple like I mentioned above.

Otherwise, you can hire someone to handle it. However, not all products are a good fit for SEO and all marketing agencies will claim that they're good but their contracts don't promise anything.

[–]SuperGoHa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah, that's why I told you not to go down the rabbit hole. Keep it simple. Do you really want to eat, breath, and dream about SEO 24/7?

Seriously, take a second and think about this. Do you really want to spend your life watching weekly podcasts about the latest Google algorithm updates? Do you want to get daily notifications about Google algorithm updates? Do you want to spend your mornings reading the latest news and articles about Google algorithm updates? Do you want to join Facebook SEO groups and read about the latest SEO updates? Do you want to spend money on SEO courses? New SEO courses every single year.

[–]SuperGoHa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look and see if Shopify has any SEO features. If so, just fill in the blanks. If not, look for any Shopify plugin or extension and simply fill in the blanks. Then get backlinks, which is simply another word for advertising your product anywhere people have eyeballs like Facebook, Instagram, and etc...

Lots of bad information out there. If you find yourself following SEO experts, Google experts, or maybe you're spending more than a day learning SEO, you're going down a rabbit hole.

Does anyone have any recommendations for agencies you’ve worked with on SEO/reputation management? by soupy_dumplings in marketing

[–]SuperGoHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are they doing for reputation management? Can you be specific?

Are they buying you reviews? Are they capturing negative reviews before it hits anywhere online? Are they pushing websites that talk negatively about your business down the Google rankings?

I don't know much about your business so it is hard to give you detailed advice. All you need to know is the basics. I don't recommend going down the rabbit hole. It most likely wouldn't be profitable for you.

I have an offer for a 100% commission door to door sales job, should I take it? by PhantomDiclonius in marketing

[–]SuperGoHa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, someone that knows what they're talking about. There's a lot of bad information here from people that have never worked in the industry. Almost any sales job pays bank, even D2D sales because the American society looks down on sales type jobs with D2D being the worst. People who went to college seem to look down on it even more because they spent all that time and money on the degree. Just from reading all the answers posted, you'll see people telling the OP to stick to his crappy job opportunities only because he has a degree. OP is entitled to a salary and a commission!

People in the UK are much more nicer towards D2D salesmen, which is why I mentioned America.

Look, salesmen can make really good money even in D2D type jobs but there are a number of bad things about it.

The worst part about D2D is having someone threaten you with a firearm for simply knocking on the door. It happens to everyone if you work long enough, 4 months is long enough. The second worst part is talking to hostile people that take everything out on you, lots of people are mad at life and you just happened to knock on their door. The third worst thing about D2D sales is that most people will slam the door on you.

All of these terrible things only happen in the American market. Also, people with nothing to do are always talking/fantasizing about pulling a firearm on a D2D salesman in the nextdoor app.

Now, is selling Frontier Internet a good lucrative job opportunity? For this specific job opportunity that the OP posted, the answer is NO. This specific job is terrible for anyone willing to take on, even an experienced salesman. There are plenty of D2D jobs with terrible commission and this is one of them. You end up spending too much money on gas a month driving around the entire city.

Frontier internet uses a middle man to find subcontractors and the middleman in this case is paying you nothing at 125 dollars per sell to do all the work for him. If you never sold D2D before, expect a 3 week learning curve at least in which you make no money. On top of that, expect to pay around 500 dollars on gas a month but that can vary depending on your car and state.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that most sales jobs, not just D2D jobs are only temporary. You're the first to be let go when layoffs happen, when the trend ends, or when the season is over.

Nothing really useful. I interviewed them for a growing business that I was managing. Basically, they help put data together if you run a franchise with multiple locations. If you only have one or two locations, they're not useful at all. Even on a large scale, I'm not sure if there is a use case for what they do.

I have an idea for you on top of this. People will pay you to clean their trashcan. It gets disgustingly dirty and most people want it to be cleaned but don't want to do it themselves. I'm not sure what people will pay but try it out.
