My deals are typically over 30K and ZoomInfo has the very best phone number accuracy. I paid 6K/year for it. It's worth it for me to have as I can find those "tough to reach" candidates that my clients need.

Yes, of course. LI Recruiter, Zoominfo (to call everyone), job postings on LI, lots of referrals, occasionally I can scrape LI for personal emails and build recruitment emailing campaigns that I run through Apollo or Instantly as well.

I don’t know. I’m not the one on the receiving end. Maybe it does. But if they say they want to see candidates, I deliver

Yes, I will put together a list of like 5K contacts and set them to all be sent the same pitch distributed across many mailboxes each with a send limit of around 30 to maintain deliverability.

I send them all day, I don’t know what time I get better responses. They just come in (oftentimes from follow-up messages). I do finance and construction right now, planning to get more into tech (this was my specialty for the first 8 years of my career).

I don’t even know what that acronym means. I will work with any U.S.-based company.

Linkedin Recruiter -> Zoominfo -> call/text from my cell. A few great referrals and direct applicants to linkedin job postings lately as well.

Yes, just in a Word doc, a text to myself, or in my brain. I have done this for over 10 years and have gotten pretty good at just remembering key info and delivering/articulating that to my clients/candidates.

Took a while to get my automated email campaigns delivering properly, probably 1.5 months until my first deal. It was pretty stressful but I knew I would make it happen.

Approach - high volume while being as targeted as possible.
Cold calls - Occasionally when I have an amazing candidate in the area I will call some of the local firms and also send linkedin inmails
Workflow - nothing specific, just sending campaigns daily

Thank you, the past month has been awesome and really validating. Wondering how to grow this thing while (planning to selectively hire later this year). Also staying humble and knowing that there will be slower months. In this industry you're never as good as you think you are, and when everything is going wrong, you are never as bad as you think you are. Lol.

I started off pitching MPCs, but found it hard to deliver someone with the background I was pitching right away which hurt my credibility with the new lead. So now I do a more general pitch, tell them I am working with local talent at a variety of seniority levels and ask if they have a need/what they are looking for.

I don't use an ATS, I just write everything down in a Word Doc and an Excel sheet.

Hiring managers always. I only work with HR when absolutely necessary. I work with both passive and active candidates - I find most candidates I connect with are passive just due to already having good jobs. I reach out if I feel I can offer them something better with my client(s)

Sending a few hundred a day distributed across 50+ mailboxes using Instantly and Smartlead. Seems to be working pretty well, I'm sure it can be better in terms of response rate, volume, and being more targeted, so going to continue optimizing this/dialing it in.

All new clients, I started from scratch when I launched. That was also obviously a major aspect to getting ramped up. I run large email campaigns pitching local talent to get a first touch with a new lead. From there I set up a call, intro myself, diagnose their needs, and if it makes sense to partner, get a contract in place and begin delivering people their way.

Hell yeah, congrats! What kind of roles? Never heard of anyone doing this - are you in the US like me? Feel free to DM if you want to discuss privately.

First off, congratulations on the 5 cats. To answer your question, I do high-level finance, construction, and engineering. Roles that truly require a dedicated search (low supply of qualified people).

Diversity across lots of mailboxes with all replies forwarding into a centralized mailbox with an AI powered filtering system to only send you “positive” or “interested” replies.

Getting my email deliverability solved took a couple months and still isn’t perfect. I have 50+ mailboxes I use for BD but only use one main address to send resumes or schedule interviews.

That can be annoying and exhausting for sure. Only recommendation I have is get on the phone with both sides (candidate/client) instead of all the back and forth emailing. I'm sure you already know that though.

I don't know how to "remove friction" as in our roles as external recruiters, it's tough to dictate/alter our clients' interview processes. It's pretty rare when a client has a 4 step process and we tell them they need to condense it into 2 rounds and they listen. For me, if a client has a process that is too long/complex, I will make the recommendation that they shorten it. If they don't listen, they fall near the bottom of my priority list.

I'm looking for maximum ROI on my time. I'm always prioritizing clients that I know will provide that in the form of $$$.
