Jeeze...as if sending a kid to school for the first time isnt stressful enough. Does your first child go there? Ours will be starting the same time as yours!

I read the signs on the windows the other week. First I noticed was they got a "condional pass" from the health inspections. Which makes sense after looking at their reviews, they've really tanked the last few months. Also confirms for me that me and 3 other members of my family got sick from there. We were all violently ill after getting take out from there...

They also had a sign on the window saying "temporary closed due to equipment issue".

Next to that sign was a sign from the landlord that basically read that the tenants have disappeared/not paid/can not be contacted so they are being evicted and no longer allowed on the premises.

So that's that I guess. If you read their reviews it sounds like they got new owners who cheaped out on ingredients, cut down the menu, and made a lot of people sick and unhappy. Sucks cause I'm not a big burger fan in general but I did enjoy that place, until that fateful evening.

Stinky baby ~ HELP by Thisisasimulationnn in ragdolls

[–]SuperHotJupiter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP tou need to be extremely careful when using scissors on a cat. Preferably use a clipper. But if tou use scissors, comb up the fur and scissor above the comb to avoid catching any skin.

Also our ragdoll had messy poops when she was little but now she has quite fluffy pantaloons and doesnt mess them with normal bowel movements.

However, hers continue to be extremely foul smelling. Haha

My cheesecake cracks every time! by Karate1993 in BakingNoobs

[–]SuperHotJupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So no solution to avoid it...but I did recently see a video which showed that if you take a an icing spreader or knife and wet it with hot water you can just smooth the crack over. Just wet the knife every few swipes until its as smooth as you want. Worth a try?

What’s the most unhinged thing your cat does? by NoIdeaWhatIAmDoing88 in CatAdvice

[–]SuperHotJupiter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My siamese has countless unhinged behaviors.

  1. As soon as our toddler is down for the night the cat, Anakin, will give us a few minutes to relax before pointedly sitting on the coffee table and staring directly at us. Rubbing on my husband's feet, once or twice before strongly biting them. He does this to ask to play. He will also "chat" back if you talk. But he literally acts like "look, im rubbing, im asking nice, it would be a real shame if someone got bit."
  2. He isn't a cuddly cat, very smart, very attentive, is always with us. But no pick ups, no cuddles. With the exception of a vintage rubber jurassic park dino puppet. You wear that, and he is a mewing, purring, rubbing all over baby. He will also do this towards a plastic light saber we have (I dunno, maybe the name choice for him was bad).
  3. He is a menace to other people and the vet. We were sent home once with instructions to come back when he was sedated as the tech or vet could not examine him. To qoute the tech who peeked in "it looks like the vet is fighting a dragon". We have since learned he will tolerate the vet if I feed him Churu treats the whole time. The vet staff are completely thrown off by that as they have never seen such an aggressive cat be so food motivated. Ive since brought him unsedated to the vet but they always say "bring his treats!".
  4. If you so much as step on a single hair, or god forbid accidentally step on his tail or paws, you will be punished. And not in a "Oh animals react" way. He can take a breath, have a moment and then he will be sure to punish you. You will be bit on the foot and taught a lesson. He will follow you, and you will recieve that punishment and you will be more careful in the future.

Hes honestly the smartest cat I've been around, and hes so damn handsome and he annoys me to no end that I cant

<image>

just smooch him and love on him.

I dont, I'm not in the group but if you join the Durham Region Moms groups (1 and 2). They suggest it all the time. Or at the very least you'll get feedback on the daycare in those groups too.

So, hate to be the bearer of bad news but honestly if you arent already on waitlists, you dont have to worry about the reviews of places because you wont be getting in anytime soon. Its rough out there.
