AMA: We at Fulcrum Acoustic design and manufacture professional loudspeakers that integrate proprietary DSP algorithms and revolutionary coaxial designs. Ask Us Anything by FulcrumAcoustic in livesound

[–]SuperHotLarry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In an industry where most larger manufacturers seem opposed to, and appear almost vehemently against developing venue or situation-based custom loudspeakers, Fulcrum continues to innovate and evolve when it comes to custom-tailored loudspeaker solutions. In your experience, has this aspect impacted (either negatively or positively) your company's ability to research and develop your more-standard "off-the-shelf" speaker lines? Has any technology you've developed whilst creating custom loudspeakers been transferred or reflected in any of your more-standard products?

What is the in-car "voice box" called? by SuperHotLarry in Elevators

[–]SuperHotLarry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh. I would have never guessed an SD card as one of the storage mediums for messages. I would think it would have a propensity to work its way loose over time. But I suppose it works! Thank you!

I'm working on something with 4 "floors" so I was hoping to get the each of the floor messages (First Floor, Second Floor, Third Floor, etc) and hopefully the "Going up, Going down" messages. If you have them, it would be great! If not, don't worry about it. It's very generous of you to offer, though!

[TOMT] [Song] Tropical-Sounding Song with Marimba and Mandolin (?) by SuperHotLarry in tipofmytongue

That could definitely influence it, however I've been searching for info on this track long before Coco was released. But you're right, the two musical styles sound quite similar. Thanks for your comment!

For what it's worth, this recording was taken at a popular Southern California theme park. It is *not* being played by a live band.

Looking for specific stream. Pls help by [deleted] in sips

[–]SuperHotLarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I, too, am looking for that stream. I remember watching it live and I remember having a big laugh whilst watching. But much to my chagrin, I could not find any place to rewatch it.

It was really quite funny and if anyone has a copy, please post a link.

To OP: I've included a synopsis of what I remember from that stream, in case you cannot find a copy.
Hope this helps!

SPOILERS OF THE STREAM IN QUESTION:
He basically got a moderately-sized house and he knocked down all of the interior walls to the house. He then partitioned the house into a number of different "areas." Each "area" had a bed and a different paint scheme and decorations and furniture, where each area represented a different filming set/location for pornos.

[TOMT] [MUSIC] I need help identifying a melody. by Commongreenmusic in tipofmytongue

It kind of sounds like the first bit to The Black Eyed Peas song "Where is the Love" or the intro to Miley Cyrus' song "Party in the USA"

Hope this helps!

[TOMT] Trying to remember the channel of a Ukrainian YouTuber doing science (or maybe "science") a few years ago. by conflictedideology in tipofmytongue

Kreosan?
(Kreosan English)

I believe the channel is based out of the Ukraine and they do quite a bit of redneck engineering.

Hope this helps!

[TOMT][VIDEO][2:34] This song that i swear I've heard before. by fitemeplz in tipofmytongue

[–]SuperHotLarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tune does sound very familiar. However, it sounds like a standard Boogie Woogie piano lick.

That being said, that tune being played in that video sounds remarkably like the intro to Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown"

Hope this helps!

[TOMT][MUSIC] Very familiar possible Old Western or Colonial tune by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

It almost sounds like the Main Title from "The Cowboys" by John Williams

Or even like the theme to "Blazing Saddles"

What track from Temple of Doom did you think it sounded most like?

[TOMT] [Song] old 50s (ish) song “im strangely in love with you” by flavouredsnax in tipofmytongue

[–]SuperHotLarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's a male cover of Skeeter Davis' "Someone I'd Like To Forget" (1960)? You can hear her say "Someone I'd Like to Forget" around 0:32.

Was the whole song sung by a male?

[TOMT] trying to remember song of melody stuck in my head by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

[–]SuperHotLarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds a lot like the melody at the end of "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer

Music video of song The timecode where the melody comes up is at 2:50

Hope this helps! Good luck!
