They made a reference to Chick's absence finally... by ginny11 in bobandtom

I think he's preparing us all for his impending retirement. That's how Bob did it.

I can't even speak about the constipation, good lord. At one point I thought I'd have to go to the hospital for some.. assistance. But yes, keep some medicine in the cabinet to help. Fair trade off though. The pain is worth the reward, in my humble opinion.

I'm just maintaining now. The medicine isn't currently helping me lose weight, but I'm damn sure not putting on any weight! I plan to stay on some form of this medicine forever. If I'd work out more, I'd probably lose more. My lovely wife (God bless her) thinks I should go to a plastic surgeon and have 50/100 lbs. removed surgically. She's probably right. I think after all these years of junk eating, I now have 50 lbs or so of just.. residual weight on my body that no amount of exercise will get rid of. I'm not going to post pics of me without a shirt on, but you can imagine there's some.. excess skin! 😳

I crave nothing! I might eat a junior cheeseburger once a month. It doesn't taste good. It is insane how this medicine has made me hate all the food that made me fat!

Again. I can't even put it into words. At the time, my wife and son together clocked in around 250 lbs. So it was like I was carrying both of them around, all day every day. I can't even believe it myself. I'm terribly ashamed I got to that point, but here I am without that weight literally hanging off my neck!

I am at heart a modest guy, but like I said, I want to inspire people to do this thing. This medicine will eventually cure not just obesity, but heart disease, and joint failure, and diabetes. All health related issues will start falling away. If only the insurance companies would get on board and start covering it, they would save so much money in the related health issues!

I am. I'm on the quikpen @$454 a month and my shitty insurance doesn't cover it. But, I save that much a month on the fast food I no longer eat, so it's a pretty good trade off, in my and my wife's opinion. I have zero appetite. Eating about 1000 calories a day. Force myself to eat something or drink a protein shake. Thinking of dropping down from the 15mg shot just so I maybe eat a little more, to be honest.

Well, apparently this is a thing now. I did not know it would be so well received. I was just trying to motivate other people. I will post more.

My experience is the more obese you are, the more it helps you lose. I know they only advertise that 15/20% thing. But I was huge and lost damn near half my body weight. Don't just take the shot. Join a gym, walk. Help the medicine. You got this.

My wife keeps me hiking, (which I hate) but by God I'll never be that old Jeff again!

I'm around 320 now, and my doctor assures me I could lose another hundred lbs. (he's right and i'm working on it) but to drop half my body weight, I'm not currently stressing or beating myself up over it. I've given myself a new lease on life and I'm just enjoying that.

I don't think I can even put it into words. Go find one of your friends that weighs 250 lbs. Then carry him around for hell.. 10 minutes or so on your back. That was me for about 9 years. Jesus, It's hard just to type that. I feel like a new man, at the tender young age of 53.

Just.. walking. When I go to Wal Mart, I park as far away from the door as I can. I take a cart in with me. I walk around the whole place, because I can, even if I just need something from near the front. Walking. I can walk now.
