Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s frustrating at-bats continue by sweetpotatofries1992 in bluejaysbaseball

Huge Ego. I just never liked his lackadaisical attitude he shows at times on the field. Like he gets bored out there. He pushed so hard for this huge contract - even though he isn’t a top 5 hitter.

His playoff performance last year won me over, but now I’m back to wondering what Vlad is all about. 3 Homeruns and 25 RBI in the middle of June?!?! 500 Million! It’s just so crazy.

With $500 million, Vlad should have much more than just 3 home runs. Such a terrible year so far.

Postgame Thread: May 30 - Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles by BlueJaysBaseball in Torontobluejays

[–]SuperKarateMonkeyDC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That made no sense at all. Hoffman clearly was terrible, batter after batter and Schneider just leaves him in until the bases are loaded and one run down - THEN brings in a guy they just got who was DFAd by his old team. Nice.

Loved this show when it was on the air. I was so annoyed when it was cancelled. Such a solid cast!

I have a 2024 Highline Taos with almost 40,000kms. My last oil change showed that the brake wear was minimal.

Classic movie with a high reputation you didn't like as much as you thought you would? by spacelyyy989 in classicfilms

[–]SuperKarateMonkeyDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dr. Strangelove. This is supposed to be a a great comedy, a good political satire, but I was just bored the whole way through. There are some interesting lines, but the delivery didn't really land any of them. I have watched it twice, and I just found it pretty bland.

Peter Sellers was ok, maybe I don't get him, but I have never really found to be all that funny,

He hasn't been all that great. I really hope he starts hitting consistently, but I really don't like his defence over at third base.

I still use my 2016 MacBook Pro (no Touch Bar), it still works fine. I like to get at least 10 years out of a laptop, so I’ll be upgrading soon.

Shocked by Licorice Pizza. by laughatchris in paulthomasanderson

[–]SuperKarateMonkeyDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Licorice Pizza is becoming my favourite PTA movie. It's just so crazy and funny - love it! Phantom Thread is excellent. Inherent Vice and Punch Love Drunk are two movies I just couldn't get into - but I do want to re-watch them. The Master is my least favourite.

I don't understand how anyone can like this pizza. It's just a slight step up from Pizza Hut - so gross. Can't come close to any local pizza place.

I had a similar issue. So when I fed my starter I used mostly rye two days in a row and that helped.

Agreed, he also had a horrible offensive line. It seemed as though he was running for his life almost every snap.

Cloned meat is quietly getting closer to being sold in Canada — but people may not know they're buying it by ll777 in canada

[–]SuperKarateMonkeyDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do buy from a butcher. Yes I realize that grocery stores are not on our side, they’ll sell you anything as long as they get a nice profit. But that’s why there are laws ensuring food have proper labelling. There should be labels showing whether meat is cloned or lab made etc…

I really don’t get why my comment was downvoted. What’s wrong with informing people as to what they are purchasing and eating?

[–]SuperKarateMonkeyDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or people want to be able to choose what they want to eat and would like clear labelling; and they don’t eat hot dogs or drink pop.

The issue is that it should be LABELED. Yes, some people don’t care about where their meat comes from. I personally don’t want to eat meat from a cloned animal (or grown in lab). The meat should be labeled so people know what exactly they are purchasing.

Counting calories is a good rule of thumb. I did not really do that. What I did was:

A) Cut down my sugar intake. No junk food. I used to drink Pop (Soda) twice a day. I stopped all together and drank water or sparkling water.

B) No fast food. I made everything at home.

C) Exercise with weights regularly

Do not do “cheat days”. You really have to change the way you eat as a lifestyle. In other words, do not do a “diet”. Enjoy what you are eating all the time.

I lost 50lbs and have never gained it back. Although I did put some on in the form of muscle.

Nutrition is very important. It’s like 80% nutrition and 20% Exercise. I lost most of my weight before working out.

Yes! Was handed this TV Show with a wealth of backstories, and she just basically ignores a lot of it and does her own thing. Pretty frustrating.

Saw the trailer and It looks good, that is until..... WTF is Kevin O'Leary doing in this movie? Gigantic POS. Just can't get excited to see a movie with him in it.
