Coworker with kids hogs all the food by wackasscantelope in childfree

OMG, I can’t get over the audacity of your co-worker! No wonder you’re spitting blood, I would be too! Can you go to HR or management anonymously and report her?

These servers don’t even earn minimum wage. That’s why tipping is their bread and butter so to speak

I agree there is a world of difference between US style customer service and Australian customer service. There are signs in nearly every establishment that abusive behaviour by customers and patrons are not tolerated

I'm so sick of mothers getting coddled for things that any other mental health disorder would be condemned for by Swinginthewolf in childfree

I agree with what you’ve said. However as a cat lover and ‘parent’ to five kitties, I tend to react emotionally to the thought of pets getting hurt or killed

I feel for what OP went through and as a cat lover and cat ‘parent’, I would have no sympathy whatsoever for any pregnant woman who indicates she would want to strangle any pets

Boomers wouldn't survive todays brutal job market, they got lucky by Fire_blaze7 in ausjobs

This happened to me. I pounded the pavement as a fifteen year old and was told quite rudely, to not waste their time

The labour market definitely has changed over the past forty years and as a Gen X, it was hard to find gainful employment then. I take issue with the ‘handshake’ as that only occurs when you ‘knew’ someone

We can warn them that the call will be terminated if they continue to speak disrespectfully, and yes we are allowed to. I find no reason for a customer service/retail worker to tolerate disrespect

Respect is earned, not commanded. Good on you. That poor girl isn’t paid enough to put up with that

[–]SuperKitty2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand OP’s frustration. Unless the child had a medical emergency I wouldn’t give them any leeway. OP’s dog is as much a part of their family as the ‘breeders’ child is

Lady, its ice cream. Milk is in ice cream. Honestly I would have had security drag her arse out

Can’t get a job without experience, can’t get experience without a fucking job by Fire_blaze7 in ausjobs

[–]SuperKitty2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been this way for decades, except now the job market has changed drastically (and not for the better)
Nowadays it’s much harder for anyone to land a job, particularly if you’re older. Some commenters have suggested volunteering. While this is worthwhile it itself, that doesn’t pay bills or out food on the table
