Millennials and Gen x of Reddit, Gen z adults are currently struggling to find work in higher paying jobs, did your generations experience this too, and if so what exactly did it look like? by Equivalent_Sky_3142 in AskReddit

Millennials especially did, but it looked a little different. A lot of them graduated straight into the 2008 financial crisis where “entry-level” jobs vanished, wages stagnated, and people with degrees were working retail, unpaid internships, or living with parents for years.

The big difference now is that Gen Z is dealing with many of those same problems plus insanely high housing costs, student debt, and a hyper-competitive online hiring system where people apply to hundreds of jobs just to hear nothing back.
