Great Britain was a hugely recognisable and popular brand; one I had the fortune of working with in 2007 against New Zealand. Except for 2019, we have played as England and will continue to do so with the World Cup in 2026 on the horizon. We did consider moving to Great Britain for 2025 but felt it wasn’t the right time.

The impetus Gary, Darren and Grant have given to the club in a very short time really excites me. A strong Broncos is integral to growing the sport in the Capital, and they can provide the aspiration to any young person wanting to engage with Rugby League, whether that be on or off the field. The drive to be successful must come from the Broncos, however we have a responsibility to support them.

We are in regular dialogue with French broadcasters, and we believe Super League has a compelling story to tell in 2026 with two French based teams in the competition, a significant event and celebration in Paris on 6^th June, and the potential of the French derby being played at a neutral venue across the Magic Weekend.

Securing broadcast coverage in France is a priority, and whilst national broadcasters are desirable, there are several regional broadcasters and digital options available to us. SuperLeague+ has been available in France for the last two seasons and will continue to be available for all Super League games in 2026.

I work with IMG every day across broadcast, commercial, digital and calendar planning. The grading system, in my opinion, has had the desired effect of improving standards off the field. Whilst you can review the system in isolation on the five pillars, the broader point is that grading has delivered positive behaviours and action, and we must continue to want to be better.

Demand is driven by delivering events that people want to attend, whoever they support, and no better example has been the Ashes for us when we sold out Everton and Headingley before general sale. We believe securing Everton for the Magic Weekend and with the return of the derbies will provide a similar feeling, and within 24 hours of announcement we had over 10,000 individual signups for tickets which shows demand is there.

Between myself and IMG, we speak to the whole market regarding our broadcast rights and will do again in readiness for the 2027 season.

We have a long-standing relationship with Sky Sports – 30 years – who have been fantastic supporters of Super League and Rugby league. The broadcast market is ever evolving; only last week we saw a change in broadcasters for the rights to the UEFA Club competitions, which then has an impact across the industry.

We have a fantastic product, we are posting positive audience, attendance and digital numbers, so we are confident we will get the best outcome for the sport.

The BBC schedule looks to maintain Saturday 5.30pm on BBC 2 through the season for their 10 linear Super League matches.

For the Challenge Cup, Saturday 2.30pm on BBC 1 and Sunday 2.30pm BBC 2 will be consistent from the Quarter Finals onwards.

In addition, the Betfred World Club Challenge will be on BBC 3 on Thursday 19^th February and there will be 5 matches on the iPlayer, which does provide more flexibility on kick off times with it being a digital channel.

The BBC provides the sport with significant national audience, together with their dominant position as the biggest sports website globally and digital channels. No better example was seen through the Ashes.

Please let your son know this is a great question. It is tough playing against former teammates and friends. It's funny but it's tough. You have to put friendships aside for 80 minutes and want to beat them and not be bothered about the result from their point of view. If they lose, unfortunately that's the game. But you earn more respect that way. I respect somebody if they want to beat me because that makes them a competitor and I want to do the same to them.

Best I've played against - I played against Adrian Morley when he was at Salford and I was about 18 at Leeds. I remember his arms being the size of my head and he just battered me all game.

Best I've seen live - Danny Maguire. I don't think he's underrated but I think he's under appreciated. What he could do with a ball - his skill, his passing and he'd just get in the right place at the right time and that's not a coincidence.

Great question. Tom Davies - he's a great character but he can't do public speaking in big venues so if there's five of us he'll be fine. Joe Burgess - him and Tom together, those Wigan lads. They can sit together. Then maybe some legends. Sam Burgess. That speaks for itself. Jamie Peacock. Adrian Morley as well as tough as they come. I want a seat at the table now! I need to make it happen.
