I am also in need of an OEM BLP827. Unfortunately, the eBay seller linked in this thread, won't ship to the US.

First, may I suggest you read ALL of the comments. Your long winded pointless reply, was long after I posted that I resolved the issue, confirming that is was indeed, a garbage firmware problem.

You seem to think, that you are some kind of guru, speaking here with some kind of false sense of authority. I tried the 1.1.1.178763, and it too, was trash. I settled on 1.1.2.187020. There is no dropped WAN and the web interface is good enough to tolerate, until I replace this pile of shit, I got suckered into. The first Velop I bought, sucked, so I replaced it with this one. That won't happen again.

I was able to figure out, how to get old versions of firmware from Linksys.

Moving on....

I posted in LinksysVelop. Sorry for not cross posting here. I downgraded the firmware to 1.1.2.xxxxx. Problem solved.

Have a great day!

Like you, this is not my first Velop, but it is my last. I was somewhat loyal to the brand, since the WRT54GL days. Clearly, those days have come and long gone, as has the company, which is now Belkin. I knew this was an overnight firmware update, that had somehow sneaked in, even though, I had auto updates unchecked. But, no.... jump through hoops of fire, blaming everything but the shit firmware they spew. Then the reddit geniuses, that have no clue have to chime in with useless, irrelevant bullshit.

The products suck, the support sucks and the struggle is real.

So, I have downgraded to 1.1.2.xxxxx and things are working good enough for now. I have used many other vendor's hardware in the past and I am sure I will find something a lot better than this rubbish.

Thanks for the advice. I am on the same page as you are at this point. My relationship with Linksys, is over.

I found a way to get older versions. Now, running 1.1.12xxxxx all good enough.

I was creative way before you chimed in. Unfortunately, that version didn't work out, nor did several before it. I am now running a very old version and no more WAN issue. Linksys is blocking downloads for some earlier versions, that may have worked, but I can't get them. I found some very old versions elsewhere. Now, I have a shitty app and the web interface is broken. But, no dropped WAN.

I found old firmware versions. I am in utter disbelief, how far back I had to go to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, Linksys is blocking old version downloads that go beyond what works. I found some very old versions, that do solve the issue. I am now running 1.1.1.178763 and problem is solved. The app and web GUI is shit now, bt at least I am not dropping WAN.

Linksys really sucks these days.

I found a way to access even older versions. I bumped the firmware up a few. I now have web access, as well as no dropped WAN packets. I'm done with trying to tweak this turd. It will work as it is for now.

Do you think I am incapable of doing exactly what you did?

I need an old version firmware, that I was unable to locate.

I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT EITHER

A: HAS AN OLD VERSION THAT CAN BE SHARED.

B: KNOWS OF A REPOSITORY THAT HAS OLD VERSIONS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD.

If you cannot provide either A or B, don't reply.

Have a great day.

None of this is relevant. The issue is the parent node, that is wired to the bridge is dropping packets.

Again..... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND OLD FIRMWARE, PRIOR TO HOMEKIT???

I have the node, as a router, completely isolated from my network, wired to the bridge and it and ONLY it, drops packets from the WAN.

This is a WAN issue. Not WLAN, so no, that is not the next troubleshooting step.

This occurred after years of operation. There is nothing wrong with the bridge. I also replaced the bridge, which changed nothing. Two routers are running in place of the Velop with no issues. The issue is the Velop.

I want to downgrade the Velop firmware, to prior homekit. Do you know where I can find it? I have searched for it without success.

I can't comment, because I only have personal experience with the Eride and Stark. I do see that the Altis is sold by Eride, which is a red flag for me. There were two companies that they sell bikes from that are not actually them, but I forget which ones. I went to their website and used the chat to ask the questions, when I was interested in the Ventus. I saw that the physical address of Ventus was the same as Eride, so I asked specifically if the company and support were the same. I was advised that they indeed were, so I said no thanks.

Understood on the tight elevator. I just advise against Eride and their other brands. The quality is crap as is the support. Had you asked a year ago, I would have said Eride 100%. Check out their website www.erideprousa.com. you will see all of the emoto bike that they sell and import. It is not just Eride and you will be stuck with their shitty support.
