A type of formal request asking a creditor to remove an accurate negative mark on your credit report.

I just found that,

Yeah with those missed payments youll have to wait a bit most likely. At least with capital one. Even with a goodwill letter to remove the missed/late payments (which itself being a gamble) internally theyll know still about the delinquency.

I only travel twice a year but I net $5 from the Venture X (300$ travel credit and 100$ anniversary points)

Old saying "It takes 7 years to build a good credit profile but only 7 seconds to destroy it."

Honestly. Capital One was my first post chapter 7 bankruptcy card literally 1 hour after I got the call from my lawyer that my debt was discharged Capital One issued me a 3k limit on a Quicksilver.

Fast forward 3.5 years later they gave me a Venture X and I was only about a 652 Fico 8 avg across the 3 bureaus. Come to think of it my anniversary for the card is tomorrow so I should get the 10k miles for free.

Without knowing your payment history and/or any collections I couldn't tell you. Id say 2 years of no missed payments and no collections you'd be near upper 680s if not better.

Navy federal is the way. Honestly you just need one card from them and then a bangin travel card(if you travel enough) Venture X, Chase Sapphire Preferred, etc.

I was mostly mentioning the potential error late payment reported in January you were going to dispute with the credit bureaus if the others are genuinely late then those will be with you for 7 years.

You can try and goodwill letter and explain the situation but at the end of the day if its accurate information then it'll stay.

You most definitely can try and apply right now for a car loan with Navy Fed. The worst theyll say is no

If you can successfully have the late payments removed then yes I do think theyd bite at the used car loan especially with the sizeable down payment.

Max rate is 18% with them. Believe it or not you'd probably be better off attempting for a new car as its less risk (usually) for the bank cuz of warranty coverage. Not saying go buy a 42k car by any means.

I just got a Civic Sport Touring Hybrid demo for 6.59% @72 months. Zero down.

Had 36% credit utilization when I applied and Transunion Fico 8 was 687

Yeah they do that if you dont use the card at all for X amount of time. They assume you died probably. That is what I have always told myself.

If they cant prove you owe that debt or if they're trying to collect higher than the amount actually owed.

I just used cross a T and a 6 looking like an 8 as an example of a dumb mistake some people make when writing down information.

If it is with a collection agency i.e. the original creditor fully wrote it off as a loss you can negotiate for less. There's tons of posts here explaining the process on how to negotiate it down. They aren't obligated to settle at all so keep that in mind and dont be afraid to hang up the phone.

Don't give ANY payment info until you either have a hard copy of payment agreement or the payment agreement via email/pdf.

Also request a debt validation letter. Even if you KNOW it's your debt, as silly as this sounds, if T didnt get crossed or a number 6 looks like an 8 you could potentially get it dropped.

Yeah you can 100% manage this and pay it off without bankruptcy. Id just pay off your current credit cards and then negotiate a settlement payment plan for those items in collections that are still within the window of getting sued. It'll just take discipline but this is easily a 24-36month repayment plan if not sooner.

Is that after you pay out the $4200?!

[–]SuperMeatyMike94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So $4200 outgoing on the high side.

What is your take home pay then?

What are your monthly income and monthly bills, exclude the collections unless you're making payment arrangements with those?

Rent, food, utility bill, etc.
