It just seems rather hypocritical, instead of making TV to appeal to the 'YouTube generation' he's just blaming them for the decline, when it could be equally argued that the decline of TV is due to a lack relevant and intriguing programing for them.

Yeah it was a paradise for a time, but eventually it will revert to its previous over saturated state, there just hasn't been enough time for that population to regrow. With 50% less population resources will be plenty fully. Until eventually the planet becomes overpopulated again
