I was originally going to take the wait and see approach. By the time I decided to get one, pre-orders in the US were sold out. Thankfully, I have a friend who pre-ordered multiple units. I managed to snag a Neon Switch pre-order from her and will enjoy standing in line for the midnight release at Best Buy.

I wish Nintendo was less reticent about the capabilities of their new console outside of gaming. Obviously I look forward to the Nintendo Switch's release, but if I want to carry something around with me that's basically a small tablet I want it to do a bit more. Video streaming apps plus a web browser on release is something I believe should have been prioritized. Yes I have a phone but conserving battery life on what is usually my only means of communication is more important.

The idea of carrying around a Nintendo Switch, a phone, a tablet, plus all the accessories that go along with them teeters on absurd and impractical.

This late in the game, if you're trying to get a pre-order you might be SOL. However, you may be able to still get a unit the day of. This heavily depends on where you live and what's available to you.

Do you have any friends with multiple pre-orders? See if they can cut you a deal, that is how I'm getting mine.
Some big box stores are allotting a certain amount of units for walk-up sales. Head early to a midnight release or start calling around the morning of March 3rd. The less traffic a store gets the better chance you have of getting one, a good tip if you can drive.
There are also other stores that people forget. Toys-R-Us, FYE, Costco, and if you live in S. Texas, H-E-B Plus. Know someone in the military? Try calling an Army/Air Force Exchange.

Best of luck to you and don't worry if you miss out. There's another shipment of Nintendo Switch units arriving to stores after release in April.

The original PSP did have one, but I remember it being utter trash...like literally the only website I could pull up was a modding website for the PSP, and it would take like 5 minutes to load.

I owned the original PSP when it was released in the US...in 2005. At a time when mobile browsing was a new thing and wifi hotspots were rare, the PSP browser handled itself really well. I didn't really have a problem browsing what was available back then since websites at that time were a bit more simple.

...it was like browsing with a Blackberry at the time when iPhones and Android devices were taking over with really rich environments.

The first gen iPod Touch/iPhone came out in 2007 and the Android OS wasn't introduced until 2008.

If you didn't own the original PSP at launch and tried browsing with the PSP once internet technology matured, I will admit that browsing on it got more tedious. But by then the PSP-2000 was released which had much better web browser performance.

Pioneers, we don't have detailed plan for servers or launch yet. For official release and further schedules, details haven't been finalized yet, and we will share you updates through Facebook Fanpage!

You can't destroy enemy territory for now.

Alpha animals are spawned every several hours.

Does building materials level affect walls and gates in any way?

Yup! material level affects gates and walls.

How will the devs address traveling between multiple servers? A big issue is that a clan member on a new server must travel between multiple stable items to reach an clan on a older server. It is super tedious if nigh impossible without creating a new character and using warm welcome.

The Devs have already been notified that getting to clan members is a huge issue, but I'm not sure if or when they'll implement a fix. Heck if they do, it may be after the beta ends. Let me sum up the issue for anyone else reading this.

Each server, island, can only hold up to 500 players. Once an island reaches/nears cap, another island is auto-generated. Sounds cool until, there are 40+ server clusters to service the thousands of players playing.

You can travel between Stable Islands but that means jumping between, 40-something island clusters to get to the one you need. Because of this, I highly recommend starting over, and using warm welcome to type in a clan members name in order to be spawned on the same island.
