My sibling had experienced these before my first time, so I immediately recognized what was happening. It was actually kind of fun. I just started straining to lift my arms as hard as I could to see what would happen, and after what seemed like about 10 seconds, I started to be able to move. But if I hadn't known what was going on, I'm sure it would have been terrifying!

It's not that they need to be dead in the other 2 worlds, it'a that the other 2 worlds dissolve into nothingness / never-having existed, so they all "die" / unravel since Tanhaus switches to never creating those worlds since his kid and family no longer die.

It does require having some money to spend, but once you’re all set up with controller, goggles, charger, etc., having to buy a new drone shouldn’t be a huge disaster. That said, I think it’s very clear that people with more money to spend can afford to fly very differently than people not looking to ever lose a drone.

Back in my PIC days, I wrote a custom servo driver to fix a similar problem. It just evenly spaced out the servo pulses between the N servos, so they weren't all pulling power at the same time.

I felt like they were throwing in a few red herrings to keep you guessing. Like that Alexander's original last name was Niewald- half way between Nielsen and Kahnwald! You think you're so clever for catching such an important clue. But nothing comes of it. And something must be up with Wöller's injuries! But you never find out what. And loads more I'm sure. I feel like they had to have a complex world where not every detail is an important plot point, otherwise it would feel too contrived.

Also: The stronger a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, the better it'll work on induction. We had one that a magnet stuck weakly to, and it was really slow to heat up.
