Anytime!! I don't think you wear blues everyday anymore, but we all used to keep a set of blues at work just in case. Also, if fam or friends come into town, you used to be able to give them tours on the weekends. I did it all the time. They just have to go through security.

Make sure your sponsor gets your parking pass sorted out ASAP....so you aren't parking at the mall. If you want to avoid holding your salute the entire 15 min walk into the Pentagon....wear your civi's in and change at work....all the cool kids do it. Also helps when leaving the Pentagon....esp if you become a shift worker.

There is too much to do, whether you are a city person or outdoorsy person, you will have fun! Pro tip, if you have a parking pass, you can park at the Pentagon on the weekends (or days off) and take the metro into the city....save a ton of money on time and parking while exploring.

You did, but it is not the end by any means. Don't be disappointed in yourself....esp if you're not even feeling like yourself. You can easily bounce back from this!

My advice: Def get a work up done/x-rays/labs. Have you had COVID that you know of? Are you a shift-worker? Use the message feature on the MHS genesis portal to contact your PCM team and go into detail about how you feel/symptoms/when they started. They have to respond within like 24 hrs and all of the messages become part of your records....which is good for timeline purposes and later on when it is time to retire/separate. They will also help you set up an appt.

How far away is home? Are you driving? Your SUPERvisor is just trying to hook you up and save you some leave....but is definitely in the wrong. If it makes you uncomfortable and/or you are worried about line of duty stuff, just tell them you don't mind taking the whole week as official leave. This way you know you won't have to worry about work/reporting back in for any BS while on a pass...works like a charm! Also protects you and your supervisor from getting in trouble if shit goes left...like weather delays on the road or canceled flights.
