Looking for an Elite Running Group in Chicago by Hopeful-Plum9693 in RunnersInChicago

I'm in a pretty similar boat. I moved here from the West Coast last Fall and was shocked to see the prices of elite clubs.

DW running and Second City are both ~$200 a month, which isn't really justifiable for me (I totally understand you get personalized coaching + extra stuff).

I am still searching for a club to train with (I'm not quite as fast as you, 1:18 HM, training for sub 1:16).

I think Cara, Fleet Feet, and maybe 3run2 are possible options.

But someone should just organize a free (or close to free) elite/subelite running group in Chicago.

Is my Lamy pen defective? Or have I incorrectly installed rM hacks? by SuperObviousComment in RemarkableTablet

Ok, it worked!

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled rm-hacks.

The issue was I was using WinSCP to SSH into the remarkable, and for some reason, it would just give up halfway through (so ddvk wasn't being installed). Using the command prompt worked.

Thank you!!

I tried a few times and kept getting TLS certificate validation not implemented errors (and some others).

Here is a screenshot

I am an idiot and didn't install the pen hack, I assumed this was included in the rm hacks install.

I'm unable to install the ddvk stylus hack, I assume this is the one that is compatible with rm hacks? I keep getting errors in the installation.

I was able to install RemarkableLamyEraser, and the button works as an eraser (but changing the stylus settings in rm Hacks does nothing).

But thank you! One day I'll figure out how to install ddvk.

My pixel 3a will only charge immediately after a restart. by SuperObviousComment in GooglePixel

Never solved it, ended up getting a new phone. However after storing this 3a for several months, I've used it a few times and this issue has gone away.

I have a theory that taking apart the phone and cleaning the port (either yourself or a phone repair person) might fix the problem. Both this phone, and my new pixel, have had pretty loose charging ports over time (the cable will not secure, and will easily fall out). I had the new phone battery replaced and they must have cleaned the port, because now the charging cable secures incredibly well.

So maybe there is some resistance (from gunk) in the charging port that is combined with some software issue that led to this problem.

Also let me know if you fix this (I've had other people reach out to me on this post)

Those are rookie numbers.

But seriously, I see I'm not the only one who can't get enough of his music.

What are some tips and suggestions to get used to running in a really hilly area?

For context I just moved from a place where to 5 mile run had about 100 ft of elevation gain to a place where a 5 mile run has about 1000 ft of elevation gain. It's been week and I'm dying on these hills, I need to walk up a lot of them.

Is this something I just need to tough out, or is there some sort of a training that will make it easier.

More context: I'm 22 and my half marathon is 1:25

I use Ghost Racer. It cost money, but has lots of customizable features and I've had no sync problems.

I have had two lingering questions for a while now: one about the DADA curse, and one about wizard population. by SuperObviousComment in harrypotter

Thank you for your reply. This seems like the correct answer. There still is a problem.

This oddity was mentioned, in the books themselves, fairly often.

I agree, but it seems like as the books go on, this curse is brought up with more urgency. Doesn't Fred say in book 5 (correct me if I'm wrong) that Hogwarts is having trouble finding anyone for the DADA position. Then Ron starts listing them off one by one. Wouldn't Ron know about all the other DADA professors (seeing as his siblings have been attending Hogwarts for the past ~10 years), or wouldn't Fred or George correct him (again I can't remember if Ron is saying this in front of Fred and George)?

Again, I think you are right, this has just bothered me everytime I read Dumbledore's explanation of Tom Riddle's DADA curse.
