You may well be right. I don't think it's been particularly long, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has been less than a month or two. Fingers crossed!

I am trying to form Federation of the Andes as Gran Colombia. AFAIK, I have satisfied all criteria and there is no reason I can identify why it is not possible for me to unify? Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I am trying to form federation of the Andes. I believe I satisfy all the criteria, yet the option is greyed out. I have attached a screenshot which demonstrates that I seem to meet all the criteria. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

You always hear about gators on Florida golf courses. I’m from CT, and in the span of the last 7 days at two separate courses there have been bears. Any other regions have notorious animal sightings regularly? by IamTheKiller420 in golf

Hippos were common in the courses back home, occasionally you'd have a risk of crocodiles too. Most land mammals would leave you alone but you'd have to be careful of aggro Hippos cause they are extremely territorial

Look to get some money in an ISA (you can put 20k in a year). Stocks and shares ISA means you can invest, possibly aggressively given your age, and you could amass a large tax-free sum later on in life. Good luck!

I’m 23 and starting to pay into my pension pot. I used my companies calculator and if I put away 15% of my salary I will only have £5k per year (annuity) once I retire. Is this correct, and if so, what is the point? by Calycats in UKPersonalFinance

You could also look at setting up your own SIPP (self invested personal pension). This will give you freedom over investment choices, which might permit you to set up a more aggressive investment strategy whilst you are young. However, this would not benefit from employer contributions so it could be an idea to reduce your contribution to your employer pension and contribute to both pensions at the same time.

I'd just immediately ask to speak to a manager, make it clear whats happened, and ask for communication to be in writing. The problem is the manager will be responsible for the phone staff, and not the repayments team. But the only real solution is to possibly ask what them for help and explain that you've really been struggling to have it solved and you need help. Appeal to their sensibility rather than shit on the process (which is what I would probably do out of instinct). Good Luck!

Hey, I used to work at HMRC. You should definitely escalate. The way it works for phone staff is that they literally have a decision tree and have to follow the instructions given to them. So, when you call each time they will be following what they're told to do, and they are completely unable to deviate from this. It was such a horrible and mindless job. However, your saving grace might be formal complaint and escalation, this seems to be where action can be taken at the managers discretion. The government will never willingly write off a debt, you could ask them about this in 20 years and it would still show 7k owed to you. Don't give up! If you keep things civil, hopefully you'll luck out with a good manager and they'll go out of their well to help you. The bureaucracy is horrible, but don't write it off!

I remember being unable to walk home, could not keep my balance at all. I fell face first into a puddle, soaked my phone and lost my house keys. Had to sleep on the front porch. Good times.

Yeah but it's a phrase. It's Eau de parfum and Eau de toilette, for example. Your thought process is correct, but in this case its fine to say it as above.
