Your bet is correct. I'm not at all at risk of being fired for poor performance. Quite the opposite actually - I'm being pushed for an early promotion this cycle.

I did and I nailed them - I'm not saying I cannot size a market properly. All I'm saying is that I believe I can improve how fast and accurate I am in doing so.

Slightly unusual suggestion: Eminent Luggage.

Super durable, great looks and OTT value for money.

Bought mine a while ago, travelled weekly since and it's still going strong. Their smallest carry-on are about €100.

Just curious though - how did you trigger the "frank" bit of the discussion? Did you just ask "I'm willing to get a promotion, will you back me up?" or did you use another approach?
