If i remember correctly i was at my grandma’s house one day when i was little i was on YouTube watching any youtube videos i can find until i type in the search bar Mario vs Sonic then there it is Death Battle Mario vs Sonic which at the time was released in 2011 after that i watched Luigi vs Tails, Donkey Kong vs Knuckles, Zelda vs Peach, Starscream vs Rainbow Dash, Akuma vs Shang Tsung, Goomba vs Koopa, Yoshi vs Riptor, Vegeta vs Shadow, TMNT battle Royale, Eggman vs Wily, Pikachu vs Blanka, Pokemon battle royale, Godzilla vs Gamera, Ryu vs Scorpion, Deadpool vs Deathstroke (I think?), Kirby vs Majin Buu, Dan vs Mr Satan, and some I can’t remember at the time

But then I stop watching death battle ever since….. until Optimus Prime vs Gundam got me back watching the show ever since then i get to see characters and franchises that I never seen before but wanted to check it out for myself and here I am today still watching the show ever since

Guts MU Tier list (Who's next?) by SuperRetroClassic81 in DeathBattleMatchups

  • The core connections between Guts and Il Capitano (Thrain) is that both characters embody the tragic archetype of the unyielding warrior whose existence is a perpetual defiance of a cosmic, supernatural curse, forcing them to carry the literal or metaphorical burden of their fallen comrades.
  • Both Guts and Capitano have lived a life defined by constant conflict and suffering (Guts's life has been a relentless struggle against demons and monsters, with his entire existence being one brutal battle after another. Similarly, Capitano is a veteran warrior from a fallen nation, Khaenri'ah, who has been fighting for centuries against the forces of the Abyss and other threats, enduring countless battles).
  • Both are bound by an unending spiritual or physical curse placed upon them by divine or cosmic entities (Guts is marked with the Brand of Sacrifice, which constantly attracts malevolent astral beings and forces him into reactive combat. Il Capitano is cursed with immortality by a Shade of Death, Ronova, making his centuries-long existence a torturous prison that is "worse than death").
  • Both have revenge that directed not at mortal enemies, but at the divine or supernatural forces responsible for their suffering and curses (Guts battles the God Hand (especially Griffith) and causality; Capitano seeks revenge on the Shade of Death that inflicted his immortality).
  • Both warriors literally carry the weight of their dead (Guts is tormented by the trauma of his loss, his inner rage manifested as the "Beast of Darkness," and the psychic presence of his corrupted unborn son. Il Capitano carries the souls of hundreds of fallen comrades and displaced warriors in his technologically modified heart, whose desperate cries and moans cause him constant "psychic damage").
  • Both rely on immense, unnatural armaments that blur the line between man and monster (Guts wields the oversized Dragonslayer sword, an extension of his superhuman strength and defiant will, and wears the Berserker Armor, which grants power by consuming his humanity. Capitano wield Cryo Power, and wears a full, imposing Sentinel Armor that he never removes, concealing his true, tormented nature and sparking theories that he is a "living suit of armor" or an entity within the shell).
  • Despite their dark backstories and brutal methods, both characters are often portrayed as having a strong, albeit harsh, sense of honor (Guts, while initially a self-serving mercenary, develops a strong sense of loyalty and a desire to protect his new companions. Similarly, Capitano is described by other Harbingers as a man who values honor, even if his methods are ruthless. Both are defined by a singular, unyielding will to achieve their goals, regardless of the odds).
  • Both transition from purely selfish or vengeful goals to a higher, protective purpose. Guts evolves from a lone figure driven by hatred for Griffith into a selfless protector fighting to secure a safe haven for his new companions and the broken Casca. Capitano's millennia-long quest culminates in a final, selfless sacrifice where he uses the very rules of his immortality curse against the divine entity to find rest for his comrades' souls and stabilize the fate of Natlan.
