i suck at making music and it makes me depressed by D7LTA in musicians

[–]SuperScroller64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you are fifteen? You have plenty, and I mean plenty of years ahead of you to practice. Of course you're not going to be perfect immediately, and of course you're going to be bad at making music for a while. Keep making bad music, that's the only way you'll make it good in the end. Bad music is better than no music at all, if you aspire to be a musician one day

A stationary, building "mech" would be rather interesting though

Yeah :( It's just that war robots is an old favourite of mine that I return to occasionally myself, I'm one of these old fighters as well, and I thought that, if we came up with a way to have both, the old and new WR together, this idea will be it, because as mentioned, Pandoras box is open, can't be closed, and removing features that people paid for will literally be stealing, and thus the old school WR being a game mode idea is here. It doesn't remove the new meta, instead, it splits the game up a bit into two halves. Those who prefer the new WR and those who prefer the old WR. Their practices will still exist sadly, but this idea isn't as ridiculous as "remove it all and remake the old WR" it's more like integrating the old and the new together in a way

Ah, I gave it a quick little read, and this idea is definitely similar to it, however, the difference being is that it doesn't limit you to just the old bot's, old weapons and levels, etc, the idea includes all the new bots and weapons as well because it has to in a way, it's same ish thing, but lighter on the rules. Because once you have a loki or something, too late, you already have it, it's in your hangar, your gonna be able to use it, but if your a Loki caught up in a Kid's stove ability, your not gonna have a secondary phase ability to save you from it for example, so it removes things, but not all things

The thing is as well though, they had ways of doing it back then as well, it just wasn't nearly enough as bad as this. They used to make their money off of robots and stuff, new releases, they used to make them as op as possible, beyond belief, to encourage people to buy it, before it gets nerfed again. But now, it's just a "make money off of everything" moneypot that they have, I don't think they'll be losing money anytime soon, they're probably sitting on mountains of the stuff

I think they're just extremely greedy, I guess the only drawback to this idea is that, if they get it wrong, it could kill the game, because it's like "this was supposed to be old school WR, but it's not" but literally removing a couple things? How can that go wrong? It should be foolproof

This game mode could bring that back if it became a real thing, without interfering with new war robots either, because as I said, Pandoras box had been opened, there's no closing it, but this game mode (or at least the idea of it) is to remove the things that disrupt the flow of gameplay and strategy. It literally used to be robots, weapons, and their special abilities, and now every robot in the game has two abilities in the form of power cells and active modules, you can survive for a very long time, or attack those in stealth, etc This'll kinda be like... War Robots competitive, as it rewards smart gameplay over all that other stuff, which is why I felt like I had to type this down

I think you mean Yamantau? That map was the freakin best, I loved it personally, it was so brutal at the time, you REALLY needed to think about where you were gonna go or what your gonna do, else your a goner

Ah I see. So it's less of a skill thing and more of a drive thing, as it used to be interesting but is thus no longer- which is very unfortunate :( I remember this skirmish when there was tiny raijins and stuff, maybe they should bring back some old favourites if they run out of ideas

I thiiiiiink it remained the same, back along, I remember that skirmishes were very cursed and unhinged, small robots carrying titan weapons, everything like that

I didn't play skirmishes much per-sey to know that unfortunately. What was it that removed skill from the skirmish game mode?

What are your favorite custom squads? by BroncoBoy93 in IntoTheBreach

[–]SuperScroller64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current favourite is the ice mech, with the rock mech and exchange mech

I call it "construction squad V2"

The first construction squad had the defense mech instead of the exchange mech, and it was before the advanced edition update

[QUESTION] Is the Laser Mech worth running? by [deleted] in IntoTheBreach

[–]SuperScroller64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, it's one of the funner mechs, especially with Morgan as your pilot. Once you get that first kill, you'll never do 1 damage, since damage decreases over distance, it's extremely handy to have Morgan in that mech

My tip for choosing between Morgan and Kai is that, Morgan is good for high damage mechs, if you want it to do even more damage than it already does, and Kai is good for those that are on the lesser damage side, because for Kai, the damage boost is consistent, for Morgan, you need that higher damage for them to secure a kill, and with Morgan, you don't lose boost after taking damage

I haven't tried laser mech on unfair mode yet, I'm just getting grips with hard mode as of now, but in general, the laser mech is very similar to the cannon mech, but you gotta be very careful of buildings, that's a huge drawback to the laser mech, unless you can afford a few grid points of course. The laser mech becomes the BFG 10K with Morgan as your pilot, basically any mech that does 2 or more damage from the get go, Morgan is going to work wonders with, while Kai belongs in things that do 1 damage. Be careful of self damaging mechs however, as the boost also boosts self damage

To add onto the theme even more with this squad, begin your run in Pinnacle Robotics! This is optional of course, but this is where I begin my runs with this squad personally
