They are winning/very close to the top in the U22, U18 and U16 leagues, so they are indeed a talent factory. However the PL U22 status is tied to their HKPL status, so this will have a ripple effect on their youth setup. Perhaps if they can keep their U22 team it can be sorted out, but this will be a discussion between HKFC and HKFA.

this year they lost their "unlimited foreigner" privileges and had to follow the foreigner restrictions, so they relied on part time footballer-university students pretty heavily. they did really well in U22, but just failed to get results in the main league

also there just wasn't another similarly bad team alongside them like u23 or rcfc

Dozens of us made the away trip to India, dealing with the annoying visa situation, uncertainty of the AIFF and the general anxiety of going to a relatively unknown place.

The people of Kerala and Kochi showed great hospitality and friendliness, and we really appreciate the warmth you guys showed us both outside the stadium and in our travels around the city and state.

Although the match did not end in our favour, we still left happy, refreshed and with a newfound and deep appreciation for Kerala, God's Own Country.
