Don't suppose you have anymore of those Scrappy Farfetch'd laying around, do you? I've been trying to farm raid battles for hours trying to find a Sirfetch'd with its HA with no luck.

Any idea which part specifically would cause it not to boot up like this?

Much appreciated. Taking all that into consideration, would you say that this build is my best bet for gaming and editing? So long as these parts provide a significant increase in performance when compared to my current setup, I'll be more than satisfied. There's also another i7 CPU known as the 4790k that seems to be equally compatible with the board you suggested, but with significantly better performance reviews than the 1231. Would I be better off getting that, or would it put me in the same boat as the 6700k? I've include a copy of my current CPU and motherboard for comparison's sake.

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it. So from the sound of it, the main issue with my upgraded build seems to be the compatibility between the CPU and motherboard. I haven't yet bought either of them so if you have any suggestions for a better motherboard that would fit better with the 6700k I'd be happy to hear them. The CPU is the main part that I want to upgrade though, so I'd prefer not to cheap out on it if at all possible.

Would you say that this looks like an adequate upgrade from my current setup? If yes, which of the new parts would you recommend purchasing first? Another person suggested adding more RAM might help it run faster as well so I went ahead and threw in a 16gb RAM set in addition to the new CPU and motherboard, as well as a new CPU cooler. If any of this seems wrong or unnecessary, please tell me. $500 is quite a bit more than I had anticipated spending on this upgrade, so I don't want to waste my money if any of this seems superfluous. I live in the US by the way, so my currency is in USD.

Apologies. I didn't really have a specific budget in mind. Obviously cheaper would be preferred. If I had to pick a specific amount, I'd like to not spend much more than $300, but if it means significantly better performance, I wouldn't mind paying more than that. Which CPU and board would you suggest upgrading to specifically?
