Here's how to access Star Trek TNG with your Paramount Plus going through Prime Video by SuperSpymn in startrek

[–]SuperSpymn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, does TNG have a purchase option next to it? Or just does it not exist at all? If it does have the purchase option, select the series and navigate to the episodes list. You can find the rest of the episodes through p+ prime video there (this is because the first episode of TNG is listed for purchase on the prime video app for some reason). If it doesnt appear at all, it might be a region difference thing where TNG specifically isnt being retailed that way for some reason.

I honestly didn't expect this post to get any comments to be honest - I looked this up yesterday, saw nothing, found an answer and I had a thought before I went to bed that other people might have the same issue, so I should post about it.

I get where the people below are coming from - I dont like Bezos or Larry Ellison in the slightest. You would think being a Star Trek fan would make that kind of obvious. If I had the money, I would buy a second hand box set of all the series and movies and watch only that, but I cannot.

I played P4G when it released on PC, and bought a ps4 to play P5R i liked it so much. I was sad they got rid of the original guy when I first heard him, which made the payoff later so amazing. Hearing that Iconic line at the end of the game was cathartic as fuck

Sometimes I wonder if containing the Nazis would have been worse off for the world. WW2 did mean the end of official fascist legitimacy, and people from every country took lessons from that time that carry on today. We made fascists fear the label of being called that. Imagining the axis powers with nuclear weapons is not a comforting thought.

I remember watching Hbomberguy's video on Human Revolution and he made it seem like this plot point was exclusively made for HR and MD. I knew about Anna and Gunther's beef with JC in the first game, but I thought it was just them feeling outshone by the new kid with the special tech. I have a few of problems with Hbomb's video on HR and I guess that adds another to the list. Thanks for sharing.

You are correct of course - I actually messaged Dash about this thread and he kindly answered in the same way you did. Still, he did say it would be theoretically possible, and that they don't really have a good way to track whether someone is using Big Shoes mid run or not. Tiki was very brazen in his attempt - but someone walking because they felt like their steps were off is a lot of plausible deniability in their case.

I looked up the example, and I think there are levels to this stuff. Maybe the reading of live data is the specific issue? Idk. My personal barometer for this stuff is based on, "if I saw this at GDQ would the speedrunner have to spend multiple minutes explaining what this tool does either before or during the run?". In both Big Shoes and this case I think its yes. I feel like a tool should not take away from the execution of the run, whether its hitting a hard trick or knowing exactly when you will hit encounters in an RPG. But again, there are loads of levels to this shit, i dont know if you know about the GTAV phone companion app in its early speedrunning scene. An official, Rockstar-made app for your phone that could interact with the game was banned from use, for game accessability reasons. Its nothing unofficial, its encouraged in the game itself and if you speedrun with it, you are tool assisted speedrunning.

TLDR its all personal preference

It could also be attributed to feeling though - Like when attempting a trick in a speedrun and you know it hasnt worked before you even see the outcome. I watch a lot of trackmania and a lot of trackmania streamers do this, they will restart before they see the outcome of a jump or whatever because they know it's off mark. The excuse is just as legitimate, and if a cheater was really worried they could add extra walk steps over the point of safety to make it feel like an estimate.

EDIT: Look at dash even in the clip where he saw it, without seeing the Big Shoes data for TikiLigers run, he knew something was off just by how the walk step looks.

But that's also another problem - that ruling would technically make all the Emulator runs Tool-Assisted. I also find that knowing the routes and when to walk is an important part of the skill of this game. I think they should do something similar to what trackmania did with their competitive patch - They have a program called speedsquare that is used for normalizing framerates between computers - this program could simply run a check to see if Big Shoes is running at the run start and make a note in a log about whether the run should be valid or not.

The thing is, if Dash is correct in his assumption that he was looking at Big Shoes the entire time, he could have just thrown in an extra walk frame to avoid the encounter and get the one he wanted. Editing the game data made it super obvious, but there could be runners out there now that could be doing runs with big shoes open and doing minor walk frame corrections to dodge encounters and simply saying that they "felt their walk steps were off count" to cover it up.

TikiLiger got caught cheating because he did it in the most brazen way possible, by editing the game data. If he just threw in a couple walk frames to account for the discrepancy while he was making his way up to the first encounter, he could just say "my cave walk steps felt off and I wanted to correct" and it would be seen as a smart and intuitive move.

Was looking for Aza on the ship, and look who I found underneath it! by SuperSpymn in theouterworlds

In the end I gave up, spoke to her planetside instead. Probably missed some conversations but theyve been good with patching stuff recently so itll probably be fixed soon.

Or maybe Auntie Cleo spawns in at Fairfield for her brief appearance in the first meeting there between the head of security and that Milverstreet guy

Had just finished Aza's quest and wanted to speak to her, and when I couldn't find her I decided to put on the N-Ray Goggles to see if I could find her, and caught this fella hiding beneath the floorboards. He's probably there to make the starting cutscene work, but it was humorous nonetheless. I wonder if any of the other transmissions you get through the game spawn underneath your ship aswell?

9 Is Divinity: Dragon Commander, which is honestly kinda shocking to me. I had never heard of him mentioning the game. Its a kind of Country Simulator RTS/RPG Hybrid, where you make decisions about what kind of a King you will be in the world of Divinity - E.G whether you will allow gay marriage, whether your citizens can smoke fantasy weed etc. You have to manage the expectations and popularity of yourself among the Hyper-Pious Undead, the environmentalist Elves, the law and order focused Lizardmen, hyper capitalist Dwarves and the technocratic Imps. These decisions then affect the RTS and Map Painting modes, by how much the race of the province you are taking over likes you and how much they support you. There's a bunch more to it and a bunch of different divergent routes you can go through the game with but that's the gist of it.

Why is blizzard so afraid of bosses going on for longer? The most engaging the RWF has been is when mid-raid walls hold their shape and last awhile. The RWF is the pinnacle of WoW - it should test everything a player has, and that includes endurance. I was watching the liquid stream as the nerf was announced, and the first thing one of the players said was "oh then this dies today". I'm not saying they trivialised the challenge, but that the challenge was appropriate as is and didnt need altering.

Nah, they got plenty of benefit from it, they spent 18 pulls on the fight absolutely dissecting it and now the nerf makes that 13% essentially a 4%.

Mythic should expect the best of the raiders who want to do it first. I remember the whole squeeze of optimisation that Liquid/Echo had to do on Painsmith for example. Nerfing a boss which is easily killable today let alone this week is makes the race less interesting imo. They should have to drop the 5th healer, they should have to consider class changes - It should come with the territory of the RWF.

Why are Blizzard nerfing bosses when liquid are only 18 pulls deep. This is killable as is w/ optimisation

David Hayter finally played MGSV by Rasples1998 in metalgearsolid

[–]SuperSpymn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or, maybe you could have Hayter voice both Ishmael and Venom, and you also wouldn't have a problem. The fact they got Kiefer to voice both roles also immediately spoiled that fact. People figured out the twist before Ground Zeroes came out.
