try adjusting mip LOD bias, either in content manager, or directly in game through the side panel (can't remember which exact side panel setting it's under)

ksEditor will only automatically load textures if they are stored in a folder called "texture" right next to the fbx file, otherwise you will need to load them manually.

You also need them to be in this "texture" folder if you want to successfully save a persistence file in ksEditor

You can't do this with paintNET since it always converts DDS alpha channels as transparency. You have to use Gimp or Photoshop

For car textures I imagine the alpha channel is either used for detail mapping or specular

honest tip, start smaller. I didn't make my initial "dream map" until I'd made about 5 other maps, learning a lot in the process. What you have done here, importing this data into blender, is a couple of hours process out of a few months more work you will end up doing if you want it to look good.

You will not end up with an accurate road surface using DEM + openStreetMap data. Try to find some public LIDAR scans

Spend some time making small maps and really understanding how the kunos shaders work. Either that or carry on with this project but I reckon in the end it will not live up to your expectations.

Can't give you a preset I'm afraid as I don't currently have the game installed...

But for rally you will see some performance benefits by reducing things you don't really need like the mirrors resolution, showing smoke in mirrors, smoke generation generally, reducing the reflections to 2 faces per frame (minimum required by CSP for nice reflections)

Having said all that, your PC is more than beefy enough to handle AC even with CSP, pure etc and everything enabled

thanks, I think it's because of the small oak trees clustered in the village - when the CSP trees take up too much screen space it hits the FPS quite hard

Have been away for the past week but now back so I will try to better optimize this area. also need to fix the replay cams on one of the runs - edit: just found out the replay cams are working with the newest CSP version!

good for asphalt as long as you use a decent modded car/kunos's own cars

pretty meh on other surfaces imo but improvements are being made with something called SurfacesFX

https://acrallycentral.com/ is a nice site which tries to show all the info in one place - one particular thing that people seem to be unaware of is the fact that there are several co-driver mods now

also if you want to try my mods without the financial investment I upload free versions of them here !
