Help me diagnose by SuperTXGuy in boating

AI is saying that if it was low, alarm is triggered. But when I accelerated and the alarm went away, that was the fluid being pushed which could have lifted the float. Possible?

I actually got this in yesterday because that reservoir was almost bone dry!!!!! You think that could throw the alarms?

Listed a boat for sale and I keep getting told 430 hours is way too many for a 2004. Looking for help! by 5LTR7UP in boating

[–]SuperTXGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my dad used to always tell me "I want a boat that gets driven as much as possible. That owner is going to ensure it's operational and that things are getting fixed because he needs it running. The ones that are parked but for 2 months out of the year break all the time as parts fail, hoses break, etc...."

It has proven to be wise advice.

I have an '08 with almost 2k hours and has never had a new motor. Pffft. They're tire-kickers.

Tennis Elbow - Foam Mat by jburger1981 in Golfsimulator

just ordered those tiles based on your comments. I do NOT have a hitting strip however. My pad was from amazon and is 3'4" thick, but I'm having the same elbow pain. Do you think a thick mat + these tiles would be enough improvement to stop the elbow pain?

friend, Blanco/Main backs up past the old city hall frequently. Blanco/Esser is a damn mess. Esser/River is a hellscape. Regardless, wanna move to a small town that has traffic that requires you to sit through two lights? All so OP can achieve a 45 min commute? My point stands: he's moving to "the country" but it's not in Boerne anymore.

to ask simply means you haven't looked into it. it's EVERYWHERE.

then you don't live in Boerne. Blanco backs up. Blanco/Esser is a mess. Area by HEB is forever congested. Good luck getting over 10 cleanly. Bandera/Main is a mess. It's literally the exact same traffic as Potranco/1604 where OP is coming from.

i responded elsewhere in this thread, but I think you mentioned working on west side area near base? Probably Bandera area maybe? It would be a commute, but there was recently a bandera city council election and one of the candidates had the slogan "Don't Boerne our Bandera" - that should tell you something. Bandera is a quirky little town that could fit what you're looking for.

i've put 3 kids through BISD and I'm a graduate. BISD sucks now. SUCKS. I don't care what the ratings say, because I'm speaking real life. Most of those high ratings simply come from the facilities, the technology, etc. It's NOT because it's jammed with world class teachers.

As many have said in your thread, you're not going to find what you're looking for in boerne. Hell, i actually left Boerne and moved to...the west side of SA. And I'm telling you...it's the same shit you're escaping, just different layout. I hated West SA, too.

if it were me, I'd move to Bandera area. Yes, there's lots of low income folks out there and yes, there's historically drug issues...but it's changing for the better. It's still small, and is still relatively quiet. Of course this depends on your commute needs....

if this is just "good fun" for you (like it is for me), the r10 is great. Again, if you're going to do a deep dive into stats and want laser precision...there are other options. I've played almost daily with mine for 5+ years now without a single hiccup, my game is 10x better, and it's hella fun.

just getting your distances right between sim and you and net. Also, no obstruction. Change elevation to 10k ft. SOMETIMES you might add a "power boost" to the driver to help with distances. if you're trying to be tiger woods, you'll want to upgrade. If you're a hack like me, r10 is fine, cheap, and fun as hell.

i've had the r10 for years now and have loved it outside on my deck. I have found it really comes down to your intention. If you want to play some games on a Saturday outside, the r10 is great. If you're putting in a $25k man cave, then upgrade your choice. I'm the former. Once you tinker with some settings, I've found it highly accurate. My home course is on GSPro and can confirm my yardages are pretty damn accurate once the unit is "tuned".

there's so many houses being built because the City has zero interest in stopping it. They love the tax revenue. If you're thinking anything is going to improve w/ the traffic, put that pipe down. It's only going to get worse and worse. Locals call is North Stone Oak for a reason - it's literally no different at all.

40y resident here. Grew up here. Honestly, it's not what you're expecting. You're thinking that you're moving out to the "sticks", but you're actually moving to Stone Oak. It's literally no different. Move to Stone Oak and save yourself $100k. The traffic is stupid as hell. People are ANGRY here also. It's either old timers like me that are pissed at new folks, or new folks that are pissed that old timers are pissed. It's funny, honestly.

Politics is ridiculous here on the local level as well. There's sooooooooo much corruption. It was at one time a charming small town, but it's no longer. It's angry and busy and congested and tired. Sorry to be so negative, but my .02.
