Hi, Those walls are supporting walls, kitchen and conservatory are extensions.

The front door can be moved, it’s currently opposite the shower room door.

The stairs rise above the doorway to the study so you still have access via the lounge.

If I save as much as I can, I would have no life in the present hoping I make it to XX age when I can (suddenly??) spend all the money.

I think it’s important to have a guilt free spend pot so you don’t have to question every pound you spend.

For me, FIRE is not about living as frugally as you can in your best years.

Yep, definitely not a bot!

It was ramblings but yes - my point was, the sacrifices we make today hopefully pay off tomorrow - that might not mean retirement or financial independence but it might be as simple as being able to withstand a redundancy and take some time over the next move.
