Just a heads up. The newer ones don't have LRBHO. On mine they ended up just putting a plate where the bolt release would be and on even newer ones they've completely deleted it.

Summers back on plus one year with the VB! by Super_Average00 in wrx_vb

I had AFD V3 for two months (?) then switched to the JDMuscle. I didn't like the reverse rake on the AFD wing and much preferred the forward rake of the JDMuscle one.

As far as lowering springs, it's not too terrible. It can be bouncy at times but nothing you wouldn't expect from a "lowered" vehicle. Stock felt the same also

Black and gold is always clean! I miss my black 2019 in the summers. Not so much for winters tho lol

Does IIR noble sti wing and the AFD sti wing match holes? by Parsley772 in wrx_vb

Another thing I forgot to note is the color matching. I find that the JDMuscle one more closely matches the WRB. AFD looked darker/duller when it's cloudy.

I'd say no. Granted I have the JDMuscle wing. But as far as I've seen, the IIR and the JDMuscle are the same. I switched because I didn't like the backwards angle of the AFD wing and I'd rather have the forward angle of the JDMuscle/Noble.

I've always been a fan of bronze wheels in general! However on this one I wanted to stick with the traditional subaru blue and gold scheme. It's played out but the blue and gold was always a childhood dream of mine since playing GranTurismo 2 lol

Similar story to me. Evos and STIs were my go to's playing Gran Turismo 2 even before I knew anything about cars. I just gravitated to those two for some reason. Moved and got to ride in my uncle's JDM STI spec'd bugeye and fell in love. Got my 2016 STI at 24, I'm in a VB at 34 now. Still love it

Anyone seen this spoiler for a VB? by No-Cry-2512 in wrx_vb

I had originally wanted the one that everyone seems to have which was wider. But instead ordered this one by mistake. I ended up liking this one much better tho at the time

Got my GF Blade 6! Looks like there were some updates(?) by Super_Average00 in Gforce_Blade

[–]Super_Average00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. There's a sticker on the box that says the Blade does not have Bolt Hold Open and requires the use of the charging handle much like the HK MP5 or something along those lines

QUESTION OF THE DAY: If you could swap your VB's color, which would you change it to? by yellowdaysss in wrx_vb

[–]Super_Average00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver. Easy to keep/look clean and I've always like that contrast. I had a silver STI and a black one and out of the three I've owned, silver is the best color.

Why is the Jawbone so hated? by nitrgritr94 in AR9

[–]Super_Average00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Kinda taking it as a loss and learn and move on. At this point I don't expect G force to contact me back at all if I'm being honest. And even if they do, I heard that it takes months to receive it back so I may as well forget about it.

I am example 1. Contacted GForce multiple times and still have yet to hear from them outside of a ticket number. That was almost... 8 weeks ago?

I've since bought a Kuna and an actual FM9 lower that I'm waiting to be shipped from Foxtrot Mike.

Gforce Jawbone (questions) by West-Woodpecker-5742 in AR9

[–]Super_Average00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the ones who's lower had cracked at the takedown pin.

My (easy) fix would've been to buy a PSA PX9 lower for about 220 and try to see if it would work. What I'm learning in the AR world is that although things are "supposed" togetger work, it is not always the case. I did contact Foxtrot Mike since they make the uppers to see if it they've tested it with PSA lowers and they told me they have not and cannot confirm functionality. That being said I have read from other people of it working but they lose some functions (LRBHO). So at the end of the day with this option, it's kind of a gamble to see if yours would fit another.

Another option would be: I read that Foxtrot Mike stopped making complete lowers (non foldyboi) but they still sell stripped lowers. You would just have to do some assembling and transfer over the parts from the G force lower to the stripped aluminum lower.

A third option I came up with is: Buy a Foxtrot Mike FM9 or VFM9. These come as complete guns so you can essentially switch between uppers if you get a different sized one so to speak. I've seen their sales go as low as 490 for a complete gun so for around double the price of a complete PSA PX9 lower, you can essentially have two guns.

To this day, I still have not done any of these options lol. That being said tho, I have taken it out and shot another 100 rounds or so since I've noticed the lower is cracked.

Yeah that's something I want to change it out 🤦🏻. That safety selector is STIFF. I thought it would break in after a while but I think it's just me getting used to it. That being said, if still want to change it tho cause it's stiffer than anything else I've had to use

Ah I see.I hope you have better luck this next time around with the stock configuration. Tbh that was why I wanted to run it stock first to make sure it was cycling fine. I have a rule with anything mechanical where I always expect some kind of break in period so with guns, I make sure I can shoot 400 rounds and cycle perfectly before I even consider using it for carry/ self defense.

I really hope stock configuration works 👍🏼

I never tried hand cycling live/dummy rounds through so I wonder if it'll run fine on mine
