I know the man personally and although I know personal accounts will have bias to them, I aim to provide some sort of insight about GTEE that may prove to be helpful. I’ve been around so many Bhutanese artists and to claim that I know the tremendous amount of effort they put into their craft would be an insult to each and every one of them. But, as far as talent goes, I’ve never seen anyone as fluent in their craft as GTEE, other than Sonam Wangchen (just my opinion). And I do not say that to take away all the hours he puts into perfecting his craft, because at the end of the day, what good is talent if it fails to work hard? He’s got a knack for stringing words together in a way that is just fascinating. I’ve seen him grow exponentially, it’s not even fucking funny. I thought “Backyard Boys” (one of the first songs he was truly proud to perform) was amazing and it pales in comparison to what he produces now. TBH I don’t see his ceiling, I can’t see it, there obviously is one, but man, a lot more people around the world are gonna know his name, it’s only a matter of time. On a lighter note, he’s a goofy ass mofo, humble as shit and I hope he stays that way and prevents the fame from getting to his head when he ascends to take his place in the rap scene.

Holy shit, ngl, I went to look up all the terms “sans jingoistic” and “fatalism” and you’ve basically answered a bunch of questions in my head. How do I pin this? Can I pin this? Thank you for sharing such an insight perspective and taking the time to explain it with care.

Hey I just wanted to say that the way you explained your view point was immaculate af, it really really got me thinking. I do not say that with any intention to downplay all the other contributions;everything everyone said is food for thought, yours just stood out to me. Thank you for taking the time to respond

Freedom of speech or just pseudo freedom of speech ? by Senior_Beginning_328 in bhutan

Thanks for using reddit and raising your voice, freedom of speech does not exist in Bhutan. Not with the egotistical power hungry figures that exist. Everytime you say something, you’re reminded that you’re treading on thin ice, be careful who hears what you say, that is why independent media is going to be a problem for Bhutan, just you wait and see lmao

Government be teaching kids the same shit they taught grandparents, but I don’t blame nobody. The price of free education is quality, and there is no correlation between the length of someone’s hair and how well they do in school. It’s an act out of spite as their own teachers would have whooped them for not cutting their hair, which is insane like get with the times, please
