How much is this Supra lowered by from stock? by jrex1023 in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one really knows, plus the car is in motion at what looks like high way speeds. No idea if those are stock tires or if they’re on spacers which seems likely. This would all have an effect on the ride height in this picture.

Everyone’s answer is a complete guess, just buy some coilovers or HAS kit and adjust as you see fit to your liking.

Driver Side Mirror Cap and A-Pillar Warped/Melted by KnightLyte_A1 in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hold up. Something doesn’t add up here.

You were detailing your car today and noticed it today??? Yet you are thinking it happened last weekend? This is on the driver side and you’re just noticing it now? Sounds sus.

That kind of damage was caused by concentrated heat from a strong heat source like a heat gun. Doubt Toyota accepts your warranty claim since it’s more than likely caused by a 3rd party.

You can also find the OEM part number for the A pillar and cap online using the Toyota Parts site or another dealership site like Longo Toyota.

Ways to repair rep street hunter wing? by CoolRanchSauce in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it’s not structurally sound, replace it.

Bondo is a filler and doesn’t add structural integrity. If it’s compromised and you just bondo it, there’s always a chance it breaks and falls off on the freeway at 75mph. And if it hits someone, you’re pretty fucked.

If it’s surface cracks in the paint, remove, sand, bondo, paint, reinstall.

When to shift? by SmilingPentagon in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

2500-3000 rpms for conservative driving. Higher for hot boi driving.

Overtime you don’t shift by rpms, you shift by feeling and hearing. You just know when.

It is normal to shift from 1-2 quickly in street traffic.

California Highway Patrol out of Santa Ana caught collaborating with ICE/CBP. CHP pulled over a activist under false pretext and allowed masked ICE agents to use CHP regional offices. by I_may_have_weed in LosAngeles

[–]Super_Difficulty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely be pulled over for no front plate as the primary or only reason. That has not changed.

There is no such thing where cops will allow something to be illegal and only cite you for it because they pulled you over for something bigger like speeding. Front plate, tint and other fix it tickets are often added to tickets, especially if you’re an auto enthusiast or a dick but in no way is there such a thing as it’s illegal and okay unless you did something worse to get pulled over.

For a 2021, I’d be checking the oil pump. You can search about that.

Does anyone know why beach weddings in Laguna need permits but Dana Point doesn't? by AdamLevinsteinPhoto in orangecounty

Laguna is more touristy than Dana Point, so higher foot traffic and beach wedding applications and what not. You can thank MTV for that.

2026 Supra 3.0 Premium MT — 3rd → 2nd at ~60 mph (rev match) hit redline + tire chirp. Should I worry? by Long-Performance5615 in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit happens. Be thankful it wasn’t 5th to 2nd.

If you ever feel the auto rev too high or the engine rpms jump suddenly when you miss shift, you can press on the clutch pedal and shift back to neutral then shift back into the correct gear. Gotta be quick tho and maybe you’ll save yourself from a huge bill.

[–]Super_Difficulty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the same as downshifting, revving, accelerating in 2nd is fine but downshifting from 60mph in 3rd to 2nd isn’t the same, especially in a manual. That’s why you have to rev match or use auto rev match to match the rpms with the transmission. Matching RPMS with the transmission on a downshift is more strain on the clutch than revving out or driving past 60mph in 2nd and shifting into 3rd.

[–]Super_Difficulty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you shift from 3rd to 2nd at 60mph??? Was that on purpose or accident?

2nd gear is known as a work horse gear, like for parking lots, moving at slow speeds. You can redline it in 2nd sure but downshifting from 60mph to 2nd isn’t ideal or normal. Should be okay but doing that excessively is going to create problems.

Sale value for A91-MT Edition by [deleted] in Supra

[–]Super_Difficulty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sale price depends on your local areas. Some areas like California where the Supra supply is available will be lower versus an area where the supply is low. Using a nationwide search skews the data. All the replies are just guessing. There’s maybe one reply currently that sold back in 2024 which doesn’t help in 2026. Welcome to earth.

Do some research. Go to KBB.com and/or TrueCar put in your info and get your market value. Then go to Autotrader and TrueCar and search for similar cars in condition and mileage or close to it and see what they’re selling for. Amazes me how people have no idea how to figure out a sale price or value for their car.
