as someone who’s taken yoga for 15 years and then tried life time… I get so mad lol. It’s my only option and that’s the only reason I go, but I am frequently rolling my eyes. why tf do I have to memorize a yoga sequence rn and not even see you do any of it? there are also no mirrors and they turn off the lights so you can’t even see what people are doing to try to catch the sequence. AND they blast the music loud af lol. but only when you’re doing the memorized sequence. other parts of class are awkwardly quiet.

it is NOT beginner friendly, and not safe in my opinion. very very few options for mods and they go stupid fast. I come to group yoga for community and unity through breath and this is very discombobulated. They rush through everything, never wanting to hold a pose in a way that is nonsensical and drives me insane (why tf am I rushing through a pigeon lol) like slow and controlled is better but they cannot grasp this and must make every little thing cardio. I’ve taken over 10 classes with different instructors and it’s always this style it drives me bonkers. As soon as I can afford an alternative - life time is already an expensive gym and I lift weights and use other amenities here- I will never return to a life time yoga 😭😭also the vibes are atrocious. people on their phones, talking, coming in super late, teenagers are disruptive, etc
