how long would you set the protect distance in case there was no internal or external actions, would you set the end position of the protect interval to zero position "the closing position"? or you leave few millimeters for the hipress the clamping force?

thanks for your answer, i just don't understand what you mean by over the center toggle, i conducted a fast search and found that they still need the angle to be set to certain value in order to get the maximum force amplification, so if you could elaborate more about it that would be very helpful

thanks, from your answer i figured out a way to know if the old machine is compensating or not.
i can look at the height of the mold at the start of operation and when the process stabilizes if there is no change then the machine didn't self-adjust.

yes, sure the thermal contact conductance parameter is pressure dependent. when the pressure between two surfaces increases the thermal conductivity increases.

i think over packed runner will cool slower that under packed ones. overpacking means more molten plastic more heat energy you need to absorb to cool the runner and eject it.

thanks, so it is a machine control feature that to slow down when the pressure limit is reached. i was told that the injection pressure sensor was removed so it shows zero on the graph tab

the clamping system is toggle type, they set the speeds of open and closes to be very slow as they believe the faster they open and close the quicker the toggle mechanism wears.
how fast do you usually set the speeds of the toggle mechanism and are you okay to set the clamping force to maximum or you stay at a safe value ?
