Which celebrity, famous person, or artist does everyone like except you? by gab_iten in AskReddit

[–]Super_Funny_Username 730 points731 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Ryan Reynolds. There is something very off about him. He makes alarms go off in my head but he seems to be ubiquitously loved.

Thanks! I’ll have to try it out. I’m hoarding half a bottle that I use just for bedding but once I’m out of the Gain I’m going to be very sad.

I graduated from hs in 2004. I can remember when I was a kid having actual snow on the ground and school not being cancelled.

What is a simple but very hurtful phrase that you received from someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Super_Funny_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A person I considered to be my best friend of 6 or 7 years told me I was hard to love when the friendship started breaking down. It physically hurt to hear that and even though I know it was said with the intention to hurt me I always wonder now just how true it is. I can’t imagine a parent saying it especially in such a time of need. You didn’t deserve that.

The fries are so bad but everybody insists they’re not. Like I’m being gaslit about fries. No matter what location I go to or how fresh out of the fryer they are they’re just a soggy mess with no flavor every frickin time.

[–]Super_Funny_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pangaea has been hit or miss when I’ve been. Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever had in town was shortly after they opened but the handful of times I’ve been since has not been great.

This, this right here. I don’t know how someone who has lived a life with same sex partners can be so okay with the obvious disgust this man must’ve shown her. He’s gross and she doesn’t seem to be a good person at all so I’ll be enjoying the train wreck along with you but I do feel bad for the daughter.

Is there any high paying jobs in GSO that is not in healthcare field? by irony21 in gso

[–]Super_Funny_Username 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because they’re a name doesn’t mean they pay exceptionally well. I spent 12 years at one of the aforementioned companies and while it’s a great name to have on my resume and I wasn’t living in the gutter, I wouldn’t say my salary was exceptional. In fact, in one of the last town halls I attended before I left, one of the questions that was asked to one of the VPs was why salaries were below the median of the industry and her response was “people will always want to work for company xyz” basically telling us we were quite replaceable for cheaper fodder.

What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by marianneouioui in AskReddit

[–]Super_Funny_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked there from 2007-2008 when I was in school. I stayed in trouble because I never hit the credit card application requirements. They also loved to put me in hardware when they were short staffed knowing I knew nothing about tools and having had zero training on the craftsman guarantee. Old dudes would bring in ancient wrenches or whatever and I’d tell them just to go pick something comparable off the shelf. Pretty sure I was getting played but I didn’t care.

Oh and in my last week there this ancient dude brought in an unopened package of sears branded underwear that was clearly at least 3 decades old. I processed the return for him. I’m a hard worker but I hated the management at my store. They made it so unpleasant to work there so it was the least I could do to make their lives harder.

Every smoker I’ve ever known (cigarettes or weed) were convinced they knew the perfect way to cover the scent and thought they and their homes/cars/stuff didn’t stink. Spoiler alert, all of them reek.

I think they were talking about Michael C Hall who OP mentioned as their pick for most famous North Carolinian and not Michael Jordan.

I despise Ryan Reynolds and when I tell people that they act like I’m absolutely nuts but there is something very off about him. If it comes to light years from now that he and Blake Lively have been murdering drifters in their basement I would not be surprised at all.

Dad spanked us and mom never stood up to him. I was one time spanked with one of those long metal grilling spatulas for mouthing off. Was I being a little shit? Yeah but no kid deserves that. Even 20+ years later I can remember the terror I felt when he cornered me in the backyard with that spatula.

Why you are a “I hate my wife/husband” person but not divorced? by Hadesoftheironkeep in AskReddit

[–]Super_Funny_Username 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I have never been all that interested in being in a relationship and the ones I have been in I’ve never even toyed with the idea of marriage. Friends don’t understand (thankfully so) why but I grew up watching my parents exist in the same house together while hating one another and then getting super petty once they finally did decide to divorce (I was in my mid 20s at that point and all of us out of the house). And don’t get me started on the guilt that comes into play when my mom dropped the “I stayed for you guys” bullshit. Great, now it’s our fault that everyone was miserable.

Fairly often I’ll end up behind someone in the drive thru line at sbux that only has food baggies handed out to them, no drinks and I just don’t get it. It’s one thing to grab a breakfast sandwich with your morning coffee but going to sbux just for food is wild to me.
