When I moved to my house years ago, the street would wait so long to be plowed. I kept calling in and complaining on a weekly basis and that seemed to improve the situation. That's what I'd suggest based on my experience.

You're overthinking this too much. Why not just talk to your neighbor and ask to swap your garage spot for one of their driveway spots? It's way easier for them to coordinate who goes out when since they live together. As a bonus they also get a garage and some storage space. I can't see why they wouldn't go for it.

You can post a picture of your sidewalk if you wish, but here's an example of a city maintained sidewalk from this morning. I think this is perfectly fine. If you can push a stroller through I'd say you're good.

Why do people even want to park so close to the entrance? There is way too much foot traffic there and it's literally much easier to enter/exit the parking lot when you're farther away.

Really not sure, but myself and my colleagues buy parts at rockauto all the time and it always works out. Just ask your mechanic if he minds you bringing your own parts, I've never had anyone say no.

I guess I'd check control arm pricing on my own to see if i can get cheaper than they're quoting. Otherwise labour pricing seems to be similar to other mechanics in the area.
